brother update
altho he has stage III lymphoma and leukemia, his blood counts have actually improved just a bit from when they last measured 2 months ago.. the decision to not do chemo presently remains. He is in a much better frame of mind. He does expect to do chemo at some time in the future.
he's been thru the wringer lately. he lost his job a year after his wife left him and his five kids... he's held it together... and is ecstatic about his latest news. We're gonna keep him for a while. He does look mighty thin. We had a family meeting (estate planning) and we had to nail down exactly how much money he has borrowed.. that was kind of uncomfortable.
if you remember my sis and her surgery (they had to remove a tennis ball sized tumor) .. it went miraculously well. it was just sitting there on the side of the liver.. snip and clip. She is a drama queen and gave the nurses hell, but everyone survived. She's regained the weight she lost and looks great.
