pregnancy after BC

I am 41 and I am diagnosis BC STAGE 2 HER- AND POSITIVE FOR HORMONE RECEPTORS, I WANT TO HAVE KIDS, there are any one here that have kids after treatment under this condition? I have to wait 2 years? For me its not possible.... I am too old!!!!!

    Christine, I can feel for you.  If your cancer was early stage, and you didn't need chemo, you could ask your Oncologist if you can try to get pregnant right away and then do hormonal therapy after the pregnancy.  Most Oncologists do advise waiting at least 2 years in order to make sure that the cancer is definitely in remission, but not everybody will always follow the advice.  You could ask what your chances are of the cancer coming back if you delay taking hormonal therapy, and if the odds are with you, you may decide to do it your way.   I have read about studies which showed that pregnancy did not affect reoccurrance risk, that it actually may even help lower the risk.
