My sister was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer at 30. We find out this week if she carries the BRCA gene mutation. Does being diagnosed at an early age make a person more likely to carry the gene?

    No.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister tl10. I have three sisters. Three of us have had breast cancer. The one that hasn't, it the only one without the BRCA gene. But in the grand scheme of things, that doesn't mean a thang. In my humble opinion.

    Ages of diagnosis: 29, 39, 44.

    Hugs, Traci

PS: The sister without the BRCA gene, got uterine cancer at the age of 41.

    PSS: We are 42, 43, 45 and 48 now.

    hi Traci

How are you doing? You passed the 3 yr mark for TN which is a milestone. Right?

Did you and your sisters with BRCA1 do risk reduction surgeries such as oope or hystorectomy? thanks, love, alex
