I find that i get good results from the generic/store brands.  I just cannot abide coconut scents, so I avoid those.  Anything over a 30 is wasted and some of them stay on too well for sweating, etc, and just peel off .

I use a high # for my face and follow up with self tan for the "glow".  LOL

I've always burned, so I was thrilled when sunscreen came out (What! you don't remember when there were none?!)  Coppertone has always had a nice smell, so it's ok.  In the sun and heat, just cannot put up with a lot of scent.  (and I'm a perfume 'ho---boxes of bottles!)

I'm usually able to get fresh lancome instant tan and find it comes out brown, not orange.  I use the body tan on my face since I'm older and don't have to worry about oil and zits.

Also, the new grading system includes UVA and the other one--cannot remember the name.  I do sue sunscreen on my arms, then the self tan.

My legs pick up so little that I let them go, except at the pool or beach.  Not there very often, so no worries.

I've worn a hat for as long as I can remember to protect my hair color and face from the sun.

Burned Badly, very Badly, as a child and again as a student nurse and once on an USAF layover in Hawaii. (wool  flight uniform---gads)   It's against military rules and one can be court marshalled for a bad sunburn.  Fortunately, my chief flight nurse gave me a bye on it and I just crashed on the flight---taking two guyes with major burns back to the states. Karma is a bitch.

So, with my problems I"m told I look 15 years younger than I am.  That sun and UV rays are what causes wrinkles.  At almost 67, I now apprciated that I didn't get out in the sun a lot.  Would have love to have a tan, but only got one for a few years when melatonin "encouragement" was possible with some drug---didn't color your skin without sitting in the sun and getting a base tan first tho.   A blessing when we had a Cayman timeshare.  Beautiful beaches.and I always sit in th shade.  My forearms are covered in those age spots and hands are wrinkles which wouldn't be ther with out the sun and good genes.

    Never again.
