I am specifically referring to the one titled "AACR: Combo May KO Triple-Negative Breast Cancer".  When you click on the link, the report is about the taxane-Avastin combo (which is old news to begin with) -- and the research was done on mice! Surprised

The writeup itself was good and accurate, including the statements

"Tumors in half of the mice treated with Abraxane and Avastin disappeared entirely during treatment (complete regression).

While these results are very promising, the research was done in a lab on mice, not in people. Still, studies are currently being done to figure out if a taxane chemotherapy and Avastin might be able to treat triple-negative breast cancer."

But to me -- this does NOT mean it gave triple negative cancer a KO -- or knockout.

Please don't raise false hopes by misleading titles like this again.

MJL- thank you so much!  I  thought maybe I was just being nit-picky for being so annoyed by that ad!  Everywhere else we go, we have to read about the "cure" of the week;  it would be great if they weren't sensationalized here too.
