DIAGNOSED WITH A RECURRENCE

Options

I am 42 yrs old residing in India.I was diagnosed with Right CA Breast (2.5cm lump with no nodes)3 yrs back.Right mastectomy with bilateral oophorectomy was done.CAF was later given followed by radiotherapy.I had local recurrences within the first year for which the CAF was given for another 4 cycles.ER negative-however was strted on Tamoxifen. This Jan 2010 I was diagnosed with liver secondaries n CT scan and was given Docetaxol 6 cycles. Now repeat CT scan showes increase in the size of the lesion in liver but without fresh lesions. What would be the next line of management? Is that I didn't respond to the treatment ?

    Hi Vasantha,

Sorry to hear about your liver lesions. I am sure there must be something that you will respond to - as the other ladies said, post it on stage IV forum.

I am a 2 year survivor and went through very rigorous treatment - AC (dose dense) and Taxol and later radiation. Mine was stage III. Where in India are you from? Do you access to a good cancer treatment center? You should go for a second opinion.

I am originally from India but settled in US. Please pm me if you need anything.

    Take care,

    Desi.
