Jancie- You have had a rough 3 weeks! Getting banged up by your horse and now this stress. Do you get to talk to you DH while he is gone? I pray for peace and healing for you girl--- oh and that your thinking of your favorite-- the Piano Bar
Jazzy- It is so good to hear from you! What a relief your BS isn't concerned-- doctors know what they are looking at. So do you have to wait until your post op next Monday to hear any more news? How cute that your daughter is right there with you mothering- she had a great teacher.
Karen- I completely understand how life can get so busy and like the others I sure would love it if things changed so you can be with us in person. You will be with us no matter what- even if in spirit. You are loved!
-
Myself and 2 others have our own place to stay but definitely want to be included in all the festivities. We will be coming in from Canada - not sure what time yet. Let us know what is planned and for when. Can't wait to meet the whole bunch of you ladies. Sounds like you had a ball last year - wanted to attend but was doing chemo at the time. Saskie
-
Terri -- I loved the little saying about getting fat. So cute!
Jancie -- You poor, poor dear. What a mess you have had to deal with. I am glad your DH is on your side in all of this. Hang in there!
Jazzy - I am happy to hear that you made it through the surgery and that your BS is not concerned. Rest now, and let us know the results as soon as you hear them.
Karen --- Boo, hoo! I was so looking forward to meeting you! But, I understand. Your life seems very busy now, and you can only do so much!
Teresa -- Good luck with the tats! You will be looking good, I am sure!
-
Jazzy, I hope the vicodin are working by now and that you feel 100 times better tomorrow. That's wonderful news that the procedure went well and that your BS is not worried. She sounds like a great lady - I love the plugging ears and humming. Take good care of yourself!
And thank you! I received the very cute t-shirt over the weekend and it fits great. Thanks again for sending all these shirts out to us.

Hi Everyone....So here's the update on my tats. It didn't happen. I got there and was so excited, she found the perfect size and the perfect position....they were going to look amazing. She applied the numbing cream wait a few and then began, about 15 mins into the procedure, I start to feel strange. I felt like I couldnt breathe real well though Im sure I was breathing fine and was just starting to hypervenilate. My heart was racing and I was very pale, in fact my lips turned white. I was having a reaction to the numbing cream, it had epinephrine in it though not alot, enough that my body didn't like it....It was scary and caused me to have a panic attack on top of it. Not a good time at all. I decided that I would not continue with the process today and went home once the worst of the symptoms passed. I cried for a bit. I really needed this closure or at least I thought I did. Of course Laura and Janet were my rocks lol. I have spent the rest of the day and evening thinking about what to do now, since I do have a bit of color on my right side, its going to look a bit strange lol. I have decided Im going to give myself a break. I just have had all the crap I can take so I wont be attempting to do this again until after summer. My focus is going to be on just making myself healthier and loosing this weight, I think thats going to mean more to me than tats, at least for now.
Thanks for all your support....I dont know what I would do without you guys.

Awww, Teresa. That has to be so disappointing; to be SO looking forward to the "icing on the cake". What a bummer. Is there some other kind of numbing agent your doc can use?
I'm with you and and many of us in the weight department. I've been off Tamoxifen now for 9 or 10 weeks, and the weight is coming down OH SO SLOWLY. And it's all in my middle which is unusual for me.
These little setbacks can really throw us for a loop after all we've been through. I think it's a bit of post traumatic stress. Hang in there.

Oh Teresa...you are one of the few that has a reaction to the epinephrine. I am so sorry.. Whenever you are ready, your doc can inject straight lidocaine and you can proceed without the epinephrine. The epinephrine is used only to control unusual bleeding..you needn't worry about that. I just wanted to let you know that not all is lost!! Take your time, recover from the disappointment, and go for it. You'll do fine. JUDY
-
Judy.. Teresa went to... Marcia.
Enough said on here..:)
Teresa... I am proud of you for taking a breather. After summer is over... you will be ready... and someone else you know will be done... and you can see what you will look like 100%..:) (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((SUPER HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

It matters not who teresa went to, IN fact most of us use the epinephrine based numbing afents, for a variety of reasons. It is just good to know that they don't have o be used, and that a PS can numb them suffieiently to avoid the reaction. At least there is ananswer!!! And it's a good one!!!
Love you guys..and I am here going thru this with you everystep of the way...JUDY
-
oh, I know she was using the right stuff, I just was not sure if you knew who she used. That it was not a doctor. Teresa liked her.
Judy, you are a wonderful benefit here on BCO. I just wish you did not have to be going through all this with us... we are in this club no one wants to be in EVER..
But you are a WONDERFUL person to have here... TY!
-
thanks Laura, I try. Even though she is not a doctor, I'm sure she has a doctor that she affiliates with, who could numb her with an injhectable ahead of time. You sure know how to make a person feel good. Thanks Laura.
-
Teresa -- So sorry about your epi reaction. Take some time off and try again if you still really want nips. Hang in there!
I went to PS again today. My L implant has dropped 1 1/2 cm -- but did not drop anymore in the last 3 months. So, we decided to wait 1 yr and see what happens before I scheduled a 3rd revision. I am OK with this decision, and have adjusted to the new me. I am also completely weaned off antidepressants. Yeah!!!!

Try farecompare.com. If you put in the trip you want, they will send you updates when the rate goes down. Good luck!
-
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA!!!!!!
You are so funny Laura!!!!!! I admit I am a Facebook junkie!!!! But my DH plays on my account too!!! For some reason he does not want his own account.....he probably doesn't want to be "found" by any old lost friends and family! He He!
But honestly I have been reading & lurking . I also went to a functional medicine doctor this week & it's a full time job to try to eat right. (It really cuts into my FB game time!)
Then to shop at an Organic Market is a road trip in itself for me. Plus last Friday we had had a heck of a hail storm! Spent my morninggetting estimates on 2 of our vehicles. The roofing inspector said our roof is trashed! Wonderful day here in sunny southern Maryland! Peace out ladies!
-
Tkone-Thanks for the farecompare.com tip. I will go check it out right now! Or maybe I'll go to Facebook first & then farecompare..... hmmmmm! LOL!
-
Laura, you are not telling me anything that I do not know about Joyce....
I have a real garden I do not need a virtual one to plant....LOL.....I am not into those games...
It is OK Joyce, we are here to support you.
-
My real garden was destroyed by the hail storm last Friday! No vegetable gardening for me this summer. I'll help my Dad, but it is too frustrating to start over! I'm sure the roofing guys will destroy what bushes/shrubs I have left. The hail destroyed all my annuals and hostas. I think my trees and weigelas will come back if there are enough leaves left on them to sustain them. I think the perenninals will come back also, but they look so sad!

Hey ladies just hopped on this thread to catch up. I had a exciting weekend, I compeated in a 12 hour adventure race with 2 teammates. We got 1st place in our div and 2nd place over all. We were only 11 minutes behind the 2 person mens team. The team after us was a good hour behind us. We kicked some major butt and won a awesome new pack out of the deal. Well I better head up to bed as my morning will be here before I know it.
ps sharing a pix of us from after the race...

Congrats Sandy! That is quite an accomplishment.
Joyce, that sounds like quite the hail storm! My goodness, it trashed your ROOF? Wow!
