Pain after rads

Finished rads last friday with everything looking pretty good. Yesterday after work I worked in my garden planting. I woke up a few times last night to a differant sharp pain. Would this be just different nerves mending or would pulling weeds use muscles that shouldn't be used?? I know this might sound like a silly question but need to know....

Hi mari65...What you're feeling is most likely sensations related to recovering tissue or nerves, as you suggested. Many of us continue to have (minor) pain for years following rads and this is usually a condition called costochondritis ( http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/costochondritis/ds00626 ). It's really quite harmless, but I will admit that, 5 years post-tx, it always surprises me and causes just a flicker of concern. But just keep up your follow-ups and, of course, mention the pain if it continues, and you should be just fine.

I am in the middle of rads but was told I will feel the worst of the side effects in the two weeks following the completion of radiation.  Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for the information, I never heard anything about the SE getting worse after 2 weeks. Here I thought I was doing pretty good with SE.
