I'm not sure I am posting this in the correct forum, but I hope so.

My Mum was dx with BC when she was 57.  It was a small lump and she had a lumpectomy and was told she needed no extra treatment except regular checks.

Several years later the same cancer came up in her lung and they removed that lung - she opted to have natural treatments and was kept well for many years.  When her natural therapist passed away she was later found to have a lump in her neck and was placed on Femara.  This medication worked for quite a long time, but stopped.

A few days ago at age almost 76 she had a CT scan with contrast [ I have no idea which one, but it was drunk about 1 hour before the scan] and they found a tumor in her liver with smaller scatterings.

I have no idea if this scan would pick up bone cancer or not, but I do know she is on a medication to save her bones as she has Osteo.

She has been put on Xeloda 14 days on and 7 off.  I worry that the 2 weeks on will be too much for her, but she is a real fighter and I have to admire all she has fought for so many years.

I don't live in the same State as my Mum and am getting the most recent data from my sister who is also as scared as I am.

I have no idea which grade this would be considered at - part of me worries how they can be so sure it is cancer in her liver, but I suspect that is denial on my part.

If anyone has any advice......and I don't even really know what I'm asking....just that anything that could make this journey more comfortable for her, and has anyone else had this particular drug.

    She's also on an anti-depressant.

I've read so many posts here of courageous women and my Mum is another corageous woman - I admire you all, and my heart goes out to all of you.
