    Hi,

I was diagnosed with IBC two years ago and treated sucessfully. I did ACT left side mastecomy & had an expander put in and rads. I then did some maint. chemo of Avastin and Taxotere. While on that chemo I was diagnosed with skin mets. There was no progession other than the skin mets. I treated successfully with carboplatin and taxol. I then got into a clinical trial at MDA and had a stem cell transplant.

Well on Saturday a small rash appeared on the IBC side. I also started having some discomfort in my collar bone, shoulder blade, armpit and not to mention the expander itself. Yesterday I had a skin punch biopsy and Sunday I'm leaving for MDA to have scans. (it was my 3 month follow up anyway)

I am terrified and I can't keep it together. I feel like I'm dying and that the cancer is spreading as I type. All I do is cry. I went through hell having the stem cell transplant with the hope of being NED and now all this. I just want to move forward with my life. The thought of more treatment just breaks me. I don't know how I am going to make it through the next week.

    Thanks for listening!!

    Dorothy

    Dorothy,

Please don't worry.  It might be absolutely nothing, but your doctors would be remiss if they didn't investigate, particularly since you were due for a follow up anyway.

I will keep you in my prayers and am sending you really positive vibes!! Smile Please write again with the results.

I would be nervous as well. I don't have any advice to offer, except take some deep breaths, and maybe ask for some ativan to help settle down. I would rather be over checked than under checked

In my Prayers, and thoughts, let us know how it goes.

I'm sorry you're so worried Dorothy, any breastcancer needs to be checked out if anything unusual ocours but even more so with IBC.

Please know you're doing the right thing and it may be nothing, worse case if it is anything it does'nt mean you're dying but have found it early on and get the treatment you need asap.

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts for B9!

    Love

    Tricia x
