Let's Meet in Niagara-on-the-Lake!
Our next get together is going to be in my adopted town (NOTL, for short). I'd be delighted to have you all here for a casual lunch* at my humble abode, and then you can spend some time in our pretty town, either exploring, or enjoying some retail therapy! (Or attending the Shaw Festival, or touring some wineries, or nipping down to the Falls, or staying here for a long cozy chat -- the choices are endless )
We're looking at some time in late July or August (or even September) and some of you have already indicated a weekend is better. So please use this thread to send me your suggestions.
*Re lunch -- we can do catered, or organized potluck.
Hugs to all, Linda
p.s. this invitation is open to good friends on BOTH sides of the border!

Added to Favourites.

Niagara on the Lake is one of the most beautiful places I've visited. I can't attend but hope some of the ladies can. I'll never forget the beautiful flowers and peacefulness of the town.
-
I love Niagara on the Lake- but I can't go just yet!
Bring your passports crossing the border!!!
-
Thanks for starting this thread, Linda. July or early August are best for me.
-
Linda, would love to come! I think we may go for a end-of-treatment getaway in early August, but other than that, any Saturday probably works. Or maybe we'll make NOTL our getaway!
-
Linda, I will definitely try to be there, I love NOTL.
-
How does Saturday August 7 suit everyone? (Luah, NOTL makes for a super getaway!)
-
Sounds great to me!
-
WooHoo, Enjoyful! I am so looking forward to meeting you -- finally!
For anyone wanting to make a weekend of it, you'll find an extensive list of accommodations at www.niagaraonthelake.com
Oodles of B&B's to choose from, as well as some great hotels.

Sounds great to me!
Checked my supply this morning and found only 2 bags of DD left! I feel a road trip coming on!!!
-
Count me in.

-
I'll try to make it.
-
Linda, I'm so looking forward to meeting you too! And to meeting the rest of the Canadian contingent.
PIP, I'll bring plenty of DD coffee. They have flavored stuff now - are you interested in any of those?
Lassie - I hope you can make it!
Does anyone need anything else from the States?
-
enjoyful - what is DD coffee? I'm curious.
Sherri
-
Dunkin' Donuts coffee. The best in the world. Possibly the universe. :-D
Would you like me to bring some for you to try?
-
enjoyful - yes, that would be wonderful!
-
I'll do that. DD for everyone!
-
I'm going to try my best to make it. Come down on the Friday (my day off) and call in sick if necessary!
-
I am really hoping to make this one and there is someone from another thread that said they would maybe consider coming to and would allow for me to ride along... so fingers crossed I will be making this...

Enjoyful, DD would be great. Lets get the rest of the Canadian girls hooked on it too. I like just the regular blend myself. And I would have to agree that it is the best in the "universe." (Sorry to my Canadian sisters who love their 'Timmy's'.)

Recipe needed!
I know that iced tea is the drink "de rigueur" in the U.S. during the summer months, but not so much north of the border. So I've never really learned how to make it properly. Lemon and sugar? Your brewing technique would be much appreciated! Thanks
-
I just pour what's left from the teapot into a glass jug in the fridge. Then I get "Realemon" and squirt some in until the tea changes colour. That's it. No sugar. Perfect!

I'm in if DBS doesn't interfere.

DBS?

Deep Brain Stimulation .. used for advanced Parkinson's treatment. An electrical line is placed deep in the brain and attached to a monitor on your chest. Blue has the type of Parkinson's that leaves her in a paralyzed state, unlike Katherine Hepburn or Michael J. Fox who had/have the type which causes kinetic movements.
Hi Blue ... love you friend,
Bren

Incredible what they can do!
-
Thank you dear friend.
-
Blue -- so hoping you can make it. The peaches will be ripe!
