Hi, it seems that the posts stopped in April, if I'm reading right. Is there anything for May? Gained 35 lbs. in the past year... was thin my whole life - no need to do much. I'm devastated. I just got a prescription from my onco for Physical Therapy. I can't wait to go. Thanks.!!
-
Lee - we are still all at it! We do a lot of chatting via email though. Send everyminute a PM, with your email address, and she will get you on board.

I've done my 30 munutes today and then some. Played pickleball for 2.5 hours this morning. Had a lot of fun. Wish the courts were outdoors so we could get Vitamin D at the same time.

Hollyann: Pickleball is a racketsport similar to tennis. You play it on a badminton sized court with a racket that is a bit bigger than a pingpong racket (short shaft). The ball is very similar to a baseball whiffle ball. You play games of 11 points and my group plays hard and fast. It is quite popular in the US especially Arizona and Florida....Michigan too. Google it and you will find lots of info, videos and locations of places you can play.

Thanks Janincananda.....I appreciate the info...
Well I walked for over 5 miles today!......I walked the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure and walked all over Atlantic Station afterwards.......I was very tired when I got home needless to say and all this before 11:00 AM!.......... -
Hello ladies - I have been keeping up with our group of thrivers via email but havent been checking in here - sorry! Only so many hours in the day and I try to spend at least one hour per day EXERCISING!!!
I am a huge believer in exercise not only reducing recurrence but in giving back us some of our sense of control over our bodies and health and strength along with those wonderful endorphins so please join me as I run AWAY :-)
That being said walking, running, biking, yoga, pilates - anything you do and do consisetently is FABULOUS!!!
We have an email group and most of us keep up on facebook as well - feel free to pm me for information about monthly goals.
For JUNE - the goals is still at least 30 mins a day - I suggest walking if you are just starting and building up to add some stregth training as well as both have shown to be beneficial really. Rather than a prize each month - I CHALLENGE you to rewards yourself for meeting and/or exceeding your goals!
