OMGOSH-Just where to start......
Liliah-Thanx for the information on the pic forum-I just wasn't going far enough
Janice-OUCH!! Hope your feeling much better. I told my daughter about it,she fell off a horse last summer-her dear Bubba & she wanted me to tell you not to forget to get back on again when your better so you won't be scared-that's what she did.
Gretchen-YIPEE & Congrats!!!!!
Jazzy-you made not only Bryan's 50th party exciting ,but my nite as well & a double surprise!! Wait till you see the photo-me grabing you instead this time LOL LOL Love ya -you rocked & made the party all the more success-he was thrilled beyond words & touched so deeply by the family of friends that showed up!!! XOXO
I've been making the rounds these past 2 weeks with follow ups.....was told no Pet scan's needed to tell me no Cancer with everything else that my body has been thru-Onc told me I was Cancer free, no ex-rays to see if brusied or fractured rib's from 5 ft ladder fall..just keep on resting, no CT scan to tell surgeon what he already knows, surgeries still on hold-just keeping an eye on changes-see Onc in one year & see surgeon in July. A small infection in left divot of chest-just some special ointment to take care of that. Some new ideas on how to approach the next surgery-will keep you all posted. Commonweal-the retreat resort has a place for me in October after our trip, possibility September if someone has to cancel-so will have some fund raisiers to do this summer to pay for what my Surgeon & Hospital can't come up with-note surgeon is paying 1/2...can feel you in later as I get more on top of that as well-so..besides getting to see all of you again, I get another week to be pampered too!!!
Love ya all 148 days till Vegas TA TA'S!!!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Earleens sister was just DX with breast cancer. She lives in Oregon so Earleen cannot be there with her. Please remember Earleen and her sister in your prayers. This has got to stop. Too many wonderful women with breast cancer :-(
-
Oh my gosh... Earleen , I am very sorry. Linda, if she does not read here.. please let her know others are saying prayers for a good outcome for her sister.

Hello Ladies talking to you from fabulous Las Vegas.......went to PH to loose money and scope out the hotel. I think you guys will be pleased. It is in the middle of everything. We can cross the street and take the Tram to the other side of the strip "Monte Carlo" it stops running at 4:00 am. I did not see a lot of places where to have a get together but I really did not go to all the areas. Do you want me to find out how much would it be to reserve a small meeting room? Spoke to concierge and got a name, he said to call once we are closer to the date.
In my personal opinion, I believe it is too far away to start making plans of where to go what night, I was not planning to start doing anything like that until about mid August. If any of you would like to lend a hand and start making some calls around, I would love it. Last year all the coupons I got for us I did by calling the hotels and speaking to concierge (example Treasure Island, waived reservation fee at Piano Bar, etc.) I played the cancer card to the max. Stephanie also was able to get a great deal for us a the Bellagio.
Janice....Hope you are feeling better and riding the pain killer wave. I spotted a Piano Bar at Paris hotel, next door to PH, I thought of you.
I hope you guys are doing great.
Hugs
Gisella

ps.
Gretchen....Great news. I am so excited for you. Suzie I am so happy for you also.....It is great to hear some good news.
HEY ROOMIE........How are you?????
Hugs
Gisella

Laura
Earleen posted the news on Facebook...Beauty through Cancer...
-
Daisy... can we do the Belagio Brunch again? That really was great to get Lunch... Dinner ( crablegs... CHILEAN Sea Bass...ETC) and unlimited champagne for 35 bucks.... NOT TO mention the great great time to visit and share our feeling and thank yous and such...I appreciated that last year!
I Definitely can help you make calls Gisella.... I am more a " gather upper and rounding up the posse kinda gal..." but if you give me some leads and ideas whom to call come August.. I sure will help. You have my cell... call me whenever you are ready to get busy.. and tell me who to call.. I can play the cancer card..:)... You and Steph and be the CEO's.. and I can be a pretty good GM.
ENJOY Vegas a lttle... WIN some cash!
-
Linda... I am not on her facebook.. I really did not spend much time talking to her on here.. but I do know who she is.. I will look her up. TY!
-
Thanks all for the well wishes. I am still unable to do a damm thing including driving a stupid 6 miles to target to get pain meds without coming home screaming in pain. My husband is in Morocco for 3 weeks, he left 2 days after my "spill" so I am depending on neighbors to get me to my doctor's appointments, etc. I feel like I still have chemo fog since I am on pain meds so sorry if I don't get back to everyone individually.
Susie - you are right - the best thing to do is get back on my horse but I am physically unable to even get on her back right now. I had a horrible accident back in 2003 and I was scared to canter my own horse for almost a year because of that accident (that was Jazzy's mom) she bucked me so hard I fell and broke my wrist and my hip hurt for over 3 months. It will probably be almost 4 weeks before I can get back on her. Since my accident though I have lost 7 lbs! Yippeeeee!!!! I guess any food I am taking in is going straight to mending my hurt body.
Giselle - I was thinking of the Piano Bar just the other day and remembering what a great time that was! I so hope they will work with us again this year.
-
MORRACO???????????? THREE WEEKS... Girl...what is he doin' there?
-
Laura - his father and my father were both in the Air Force. His father met his mother in Morocco when he was stationed there back in the late 50's. His mother was orphaned so to speak at the age of 12 and was raised by an Aunt. My husband and his brother are over there trying to find some relatives or friends of their mother who btw - died of breast cancer 20 years ago. This is one reason why it was so hard on my dh when I got diagnosed. I hate that he is gone for 3 weeks but I am glad he is spending time with his brother and they both love to travel. I opted out of the trip because of the uncertainty with the customs there regarding females and I can't blend in with the culture like they can. His brother has been there before and bought the native clothing so that is what they are going to wear most of the time. I so love to travel but I would much rather go back to Europe or to the Scandanavian countries.
-
Got my Viva Las Tatas T-shirt today from Jazzy and WOW I can't wait to wear it to LV!!!! It's really adorable. I feel like I just got my official membership card
-
Jancie... and amazing trip for them... glad they get the chance!
Lilah.. how exciting!!! You did just get your membership card!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You know girls.. I felt SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo guilty last year that, after naming us, I did not make each and every lady a Tee Shirt that said... : The Ta Ta Sisterhood, Vegas 2009."
I can never go back... and we got the Viva Las Tata's tee and it was GREAT!
I just... wish i would have done it last year...
-
My TATA tank came yesterday--very cute! Thanks again to Jazzy and Kristen for ordering. Can't wait to meet everyone!
TCK
-
I told my DH that soon I'd be receiving my "save the tatas t-shirt" and I would be wearing it in Los Vegas (you know, the trip he's not too thrilled about?). He sounded kind of grouchy, and I said, you know this will be a kind of spiritual trip for me with all these wonderful women. He answered "well I'll get a SAVE THE TATAS FOR ME t-shirt and go to Los Vegas sometime myself!" I'll be sure to send him real-time pics of us at the piano bar from my cell phone....
-
Kristen: HaHaHa. My husband hasn't said a lot about it.(the trip). Of course, I've been here with our 10 yr old daughter since Jan when he went for Air Force reserves training in Texas and Arkansas. He's only been able to come home 3 times for a few days each. He still has a ways to go before he'll be home so I'm gonna need this trip for my sanity as a reward to myself
.
-
Aw Kristen why is your husband being such a grouch about this?!
-
A cute video for everyone..."These Boots Are Made For Walking"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuOwXiEm_K4
Have a great weekend everyone
Terri
-
Kristin - don't know if sending him real live pictures of us at the piano bar is such a good idea. We got a little bit wild there last year.
I am fortunate that my dh supports me going on these trips and not only that, he pays 100% of the bill for me to come. Which is nice considering I am not working.
-
My DH does want me to go, he's just a little leary about Los Vegas - neither of us has ever been there. He was definitely joking about the t-shirt and joking about going there alone... and any wildness at the piano bar sounds good to me!
-
Jazzy and Kristen - got my T-shirt this weekend. Thanks so much for doing this!!! I love it! Can't wait to meet everyone!
Giselle - I spend most of my days organizing meetings, gatherings and travel so have plenty of experience in 'making calls' and would love to help out any way I can. So, if you want some extra help with calls and setting stuff up, just let me know!
-
Jazzy & Kristen - I received my Tshirt and it's washed and ready to rock n roll in Vegas! Thank you so much for making that possible.
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes on my PET scan. It's always a great thing when we get to share good news.
Hope everyone is having a relaxing Mothers Day!
-
Kristen...sorry I will be mailing your shirt tomorrow and you should have it by Wed! sorry it has taken me so long. :-(
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY GIRLS!!!
-
Jazzy, I received my shirt yesterday too! LOVE it and can't wait to wear it proudly in Vegas.
