Not doing anything this weekend but listening to the wind blow and watch the Kentucky Derby. I am Lookin at Lucky to win! We need some luck eh? Hope all you have a great weekend! You do like to stir the pot Leggy. I hope Leggy shakes all over ya and gets you soaking wet....LOL! Better get my laundry folded. Later All! HunkyDory

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I love reading about all of you. I wouldn't mind sitting around that table either. I am sure we would have a laugh. I think I am scarred now, thinikin of a man scrathin his own ear with his foot...go away picture.....LOL
Well, I laid low this weekend, a few walks with the dogs. We were suppose to have rain and it ended up between rainstorms being warm and sunny. I was outside right away. Always lots to do around the house but somethimes I just say f#*k it. I keep hearing you all talk about the blue moods....I have been feeling that way alot th last couple of months. I don't take anything for it. I see the family doc in June...so I will make a list of things to talk to her about. I have a mammo/ultrasound tomorrow. Squishing the radiated breast hurts like a mother. Better that than the other.
Hope you all have a feeling good week.

It's my 9th wedding anniversay today. Wow; 9 years. That was fast! I'm having many reflections on life. Did I think I would be here? I thought I'd be healthy, with children, and dogs, and crazy happy chaos. Instead I'll take a massage, a healing touch appt., and celebrations with dh tonite (wink wink) It could be worse! lol.
whatcha all up to today?
-
I had a gray blustery weekend. Today is warm but the rest of the week is to be cold.Like 38 degrees F.
Leggy, gave my Maggie a bath yesterday. Actually hubby stuck her in the shower with him.
Chocolate Happy Anniversary. Have fun tonight!!!!!! My hubby and I miss the "Sopranos"
Karen good luck with the mammo and ultrasound. Try taking some aspirin or Tylenol before you go. It might help. One good thing about continuing treatment is I don't have to get mammo's.
Bonnie how is the new grand baby?
Hunky isn't laundry depressing, just when you get finished you have to start over. Lately it is the only exercise I get because it is in the basement so I have to do the stairs. Of course I run up and down them. HAHAHAHA
Everyone have a great week

Good luck KKing, and Choc.!!!!!!

Ya! Exactly what LEGGY said! I am doing my massaging. It doesn't feel too good but I guess DH says PS said I am supposed to be doing it. Walked treadmill tonight so now I am "done in!" Hopefully this week will fly by and I will feel a little bit better after starting my exercise again. Very funny Wyoming about the laundry. Funny, my washer dryer is down in basement also and I nearly crawl the stairs sometimes. We have wind advisory still for next two days. If the power goes out....please let it happen at work. LOL! Happy Monday everyone....if that is possible. Later all....HunkyD

WINDY here, my daughter was nearly blown off her bike. Last night we sat through our first of the season softball game, we froze the first half but then the sun came out from the clouds and the wind died down. She is seven, she had two runs and was pretty excited.
My mom is here this week so we are off to go shopping, not sure how many stores we will make it through we are both tired and my hands and feet are starting to get sore again. I will take that any day over the running the restroom from last week!
Congratulation of your anniversary Chocolate. Hope you get chocolate too! Kelly
-
Kelly I remember the those cold softball days. I played alot in my younger days. Then I coached my daughters.
Chocolate how was you aniversary? Wink Wink!!
I'm proud of you Hunky for getting back to your exercising. I need to get busy with that too.
It is sunny hear. YEAH
Have a good day.

Wow....fellow softballers. I played softball from 2nd grade until I went to nationals on a coed team when I was 30. My husband also played and coached. He coached my womens team and I think that is when he started drinking. LOL. Our son played baseball through high school and was on an traveling All Star team in the summer when he was young. Needless to say, we lived at baseball/softball complexes.
Just checking in. We are still in high wind advisory so I am advising myself to stay in. Sorry to hear of your sore hands and feet Kelly. That would be miserable. Enjoy your mom this week. Well, I was just checking in. Karen, hope your mammo went well and didn't hurt you too bad. Take care all....HunkyD.
-
Hi, I'm just checking as well, and hope your OK!
Love ya

Still windy, made it to three stores (sams club, tile store, and burlington coat factory). I had three things on my list, umbrella, folding chair, and hand towels. Instead I bought lots of paper products and snacks and a 4 berry sundae at sams club, white capris at the coat factory, and nothing at the tile store. Then we went to an english tea place for lunch and they said sorry the wind blew out the electricity so no lunch today. We still had a nice time and then a great dinner so now I am off to bed! Hope everyone else had a good day. Kelly

Kelly and Chocolate have either one you had back and hip pain with Xeloda? My back has been hurting and I wondered if it the Xeloda or what.
Kelly my doctor has me taking vitamin B6 for the hand and foot sores. I take 200mg twice a day with the Xeloda and so far I haven't had any problems except I peel.
Hunky I think you need to stay in when the wind is blowing. Get a blanket,a good movie or book and hunker down. Thats what I want to do.
Leggy, Bonnie, and Karen "Hi"

hi gals,
Wyoming, I did have back and hip pain, and stayed in bed on a heating pad for 3 days, on my first cycle of Xeloda. No pain on 2nd cycle, but it came back again on 3rd cycle. However, tests show bone mets have not progressed, so i think it's low blood counts. Rest is the only tx.
So far, no cracked or peeling hands/feet, but they do hurt sometimes. Even when I do the simplest things, like try to open the coffee, or the toothpaste. (that's my hands, not feet. Good Lord if I could open the coffee with my feet I'd be making good money in someone's circus!)
Unfortunately I did not get chocolate on my anniversay, but I did get a sparkly new ring!!! I have lymphedema in my left arm/hand and wear a sleeve everyday, so lately my wedding band does not fit. Now I have something nice to wear on my ring finger again. What a sweet dh!!!
Here's to power staying on unless you are at work Hunky. I laughed when I read that. That's how I felt when I worked too. Now, nobody has to see me with me unwashed hair, and I can read a book all daylong. What a spoiled princess I am.

Leggy, your posts are so short. Whatzup? hugs to you all, Choc.
-
Sorry, I've just been working, and have nothing new to report. I'm just DAT. Choc. you sure make me smile, though, I love your posts, and so happy for you, but you didn't mention, if you got lucky, so we'll just have to hope for the best!!!! You go girl!
Love to all!!!!

Hi Everyone, not much happening around here, just trying to get the house in order before we leave to go to Alberta on Monday for my grandson's graduation and to also see the new baby Rachael. Have an appointment to see my oncologist on June 10 to talk about going off of Tamoxifen. I already went off of it as I know you can for a period of time. I don't know if I want to make myself feel like crap for 5 years at which time I would be 71 and being that much older I don't see the point, it is like loosing 5 years that maybe I will feel a lot better. I also feel that I am not sure as to what a long term use of them would be as it seems now everything is falling apart so what happens in another 4 years.
Anyway can't wait to hold that new baby in my arms, just love baby's and to see all the grads all dressed up and looking forward to leaving school, they don't know how good they have it. We know the world can be mean and hard sometimes, but they are so new and vulnerable. Kind of sad almost.
You all have a nice weekend, hopefully all good things happen to all of you.
-
Kelly, your day sounds great! I love it when it's crazy happy busy. dont forget to slow down for a while. lol. I am so glad you are actually going to get your porch! yay.
Bonnie, have a great time with Rachel and your family and at grad! Just relax and enjoy every moment. Hopefully we can keep the snow away for you for the next couple of weeks.

It was so cold yesterday, my dh went to the bait shop for worms for the robins out back. LOL no - I'm serious.
he's so sweet.Leggy; you will just have to imagine (make sure to include a silk scarf and massage oil!)
hugs all,

-
Kelly I remember those days going from one thing to next but I went to bed tired but happy.
I'm off to my hubby's graduation. He is getting his PHD. My oldest daughter is graduating with her Masters in Education. She is at BHSU (Black Hills State University) and hubby is graduating from the University of Wyoming. I'm so proud of both of them.
Bonnie give Rachel a hug for me. They smell so good. Bonnie I think you have the right to do what ever you want so you feel good. Good Luck.
Chocolate I love your hubby. Anybody who looks out for animals I love.
Everyone have a great weekend.

Kelly, can I have some Xeloda? Cause I could sure use some of your energy. Bonnie I just wrote this long rant about Tamoxifen, and erased it. My visit with my Onc. is June 7th, and I'm this close to giving it up, as well. But, I know what he will say, and he ...
Wyoming, I'm so proud of you, and your family. That's so amazing!!! Wow, congratulations!!!!
-
Wyoming, that is a very big acheivement. I would be so proud as well. The greatest thing of all is you knowing that you played a big part in that. How exciting. Kelly, you make me tired. Lord woman.....slow down a little. Bonnie, I have so many times thought about quiting the Tamoxifen. I have talked to husband and he refuses to hear it because it most certainly will shorten my life. Well, I totally understand where you are coming from. I just am not sure how much of my pain is from residual chemo, and radiation, and the 6 surgeries I have had, or the Tamoxifen. I am going to hang in for a little while longer. What about the options for AI inhibitors, etc? I dont know the SE's will be any better but I know that is what my onc wants me on after my two years of tamox and I get hysterectomy. He would crap if I told him I wanted to stop. I just have really given up on feeling good and I am not kidding. Did you feel any better when you went off them? Just very curious about that. I hope you have a wonderful snuggly time with Rachael! How exciting to hold a grandbaby! Choc! You still amaze me too. Are you still getting that new pup? If I missed you already getting it, I blame it on my brain fog. I just remember you were getting one on my birthday! My new sink and faucet might be here in a week. I finally called and they were holding the order because of the stainless steel strainer thingys. I said send it on....she agreed and said the strainers would come UPS later. Leggy, our temperature today is up to 61 degrees. Whooooie....a hot spell. No wind either! Karen, hope you are doing fine! Please give us a post! Love to ya all.....HunkyD
-
Wow, I can't believe how much you did in one day Kelly...amazing. I was tired after reading it.
Chocolate..that was so thoughtful of your dh...the ring sounds so nice.
Bonnie..enjoy your lovely granddaughter.
Wyoming..you must be so proud of both of them. Enjoy the ceremony.
HunkyD...I don't know if you show stop the tamoxifen...I am on the arimidex and there are side effects but if it helps in the long term I think that is so much better.
Leggy.. Are you still enjoying th warm weather?? It is bloody freezing here today. It is turning from sun to a wicked wind and I think I saw some snowflakes. Ugh.
Well, I had my mammo Monday and haven't heard anything...no news is good news...I am hoping. I see my doc for a physical June 3 and see the onc June 18th. Did see the specialist who did my colonoscopy and endoscope....these docs make we wonder. This is how he described my results... well I took out two polyps...benign. There was a viral wart in your esophagus which usually can turn into cancer.....and.....I did remove it. I am sure there is a better way to give results. It was all fine though.
I am looking forward to the long weekend in May, we go up to my brothers for a pool tournament. Usually all the family shows up. Cant wait to have an extra day off. This working for a living is so tiring. I am DAT.
I wanted to wish all the Mom's a very HAPPY MOTHERS DAY tomorrow. I hope we all have a feeling good day. I plan on doing nothing tomorrow...hopefully my plan works.

Can I just say, I was in a really bitchy mood today. my man friend, came to take me to lunch, bought me flowers, jelly-beans, and wine, then took me lunch. All day, I was bitchy....and apologized profusely. Something wants to push him away. Tamoxifen is sucking my life dry, as well as my......
-
Hope everyone had a great Mothers Day. I spent the weekend with grad babies and family. I'm sore now from all the running and carrying babies. I'm so out of shape. We had a sunny day yesterday and now it is back to being rainy and cold. Spring is so fickle.
I think the weather has all down in the dumps. It needs to warm up and stay nice.
Have a good week everybody.
Wyoming

Leggy your post reminds me of the Mamma Mia movie where the girls giggle and say dot dot dot...
-
Well I haven't seen the movie, but my Aunt Joe was Italian....
-
Pierce Brosnan is a terrible singer but its an okay rental for a rainy day.
My boys are both home now and my oldest is really complaining as he wanted to stay at school. Grrrr. I am giving him a day or two to adjust and then I am putting him to work everytime he complains... clean the floorboards, vacuum the basement, oil the cabinets, all the chores they had to do as punishment when they were little. I bet he will start picking up shifts lifeguarding at the pool in no time flat! (Evil laugh) Kelly
-
Kelly I like the way you think. How old are you boys? I agree with about Pierce Brosnon singing. But it was a fun movie to watch and not having to think.
I'm taking tomorrow off just to do nothing. We don't many days left of school but the days we have left are hectic. It seems my summer is already busy. I guess that is good.
Hunky what color is your new sink. I can't remember if you have already told us. CHEMO BRAIN LOL.
Everyone HI

Wyoming, I am cranky cranky cranky......my new sink has not even been shipped. I am giving them another day and then my cranky Tamoxifen Tounge is going to roll. It is black. The sink, not my tounge! My appliances are all fairly new and are all black and stainless so it should look nice. It is not the shiny kind of sink though...it is granite/quartz composit and more of a matte finish. It is supposed to be chip and scratch resistant. Ok, I am done bitching about that. I don't have a teenager though.....LOL! Hang in there Kelly! I will take a picture if I ever get it, and installed. Anyone want to make a bet who gets done first...Kelly's new porch, or one new sink and faucet for me? LOL! Hope you all are doing well. Enjoy your day off Wyoming. I did see that movie you all are talking about, but my husband ran, he could not take it. I found it to be just so so....I have no good movies to report about. We did watch Sherlock Holmes this last weekend. It was OK! I went to PS yesterday after work and he is giving me 4 months off until he sees how this last micro fat grafting holds. He sees one more surgery in the future. Oh well, I have summer off. I have to get through an Onc visit before then and also the dreaded gyno visit. Haven't had time to make that appt yet. I am afraid to go. I think they are all going to want to yank it. Tamoxifen is not friends with your garage area as far as endometriosis! My onc has already mentioned hysterectomy and I just want some time off. I have not had a paps for 2 years though. Tonight is our TV night. Idol and LOST. Only a few more weeks of LOST left. Hope you all have a great week. Gawd I love my chemo group! P.S. Bonnie, please let me know if you start feeling better on your break of Tamoxifen. I know it might be a while to get it out of your system. XXOO HunkyD
-
Great news, my oncologist's office just called and told me my tumor marker is down to 17 this week. I have been going in 1-2 times per week for bloodwork on this trial and didn't even realize they were doing a 27-29 marker. Anyway I told everyone my good news and to be able to tell my seven year old that a lot of my cancer is going away so I will feel good for a long time was a great moment!
I second the opinion of loving our chemo group!!! Kelly
