MRI after treatment

Has anyone had a MRI after they finished rads? My BS had mentioned my getting a MRI before my surgery and at the time I said no. Well now I'm wondering if I should have and will talk to my BS when I see her again. Has anyone had a MRI after surgary and rads?? How long do you have to wait after treatment to get one??

    I didn't have rads so can't answer that.I did however have chemo,6 sessions of T&C 3 weeks apart.I had an mri b4 chemo and again about 6 weeks or so after i finished.It's a good idea to have one b4,IMHO,it gives them a base line to work with.

    Hello!

    My mother had MRI after lumpectomy and radiation. A cyst was found in her right ovary and it was needed to examine it with a more punctual method and take a closer look at it.

    I had lumpectomy, chemo, rads - finished Jan. 2010. Ist mammo done end of May, had to wait for extra views, then ultrasound. Radiologist came in and said "Well.... I'm going to call it your new normal, but I would recommend a MRI in 6 months. I had a baseline MRI done before the lumpectomy and my existing breast cancer didn't show!  I'm really not sure what I'm going to do. I have my 3 month check with my oncologist tomorrow, so I'll discuss it with him.
