Set up Time for radiation

Options

Perhaps i am paronoid... but i have been reading the threads on this site for the last past hour and i had come across people saying that their technician takes a great amount of time to make sure that they are set up properly each day before radiation... I was concerned because my two very young technicians come in and take maybe 60 seconds  to line me up and are ready to go very quickly....I am now wondering if they should be slowing down and spending more time with the set up?  Wanted to know if this set up was something very simple or should they be spending more time (they seem to get it always on their first try) ?.. Thanks for sharing your experience with your set up and any info you have on the set up complexity... Today was my 4th day and i swear that i can feel the radiation going in (tingling and pulling).... Right after i feel a bit nauseous and very hot...... Trying to hydrate myself as much as possible.... Thanks for all your feedback and support...

Talk to the doctor about it you should be seeing him soon or if not call. I feel my techs were very experienced and they took more time than that to make sure every thing was lined up. They will also take x-rays to make sure you are lined up correctly. I could also feel the radiation although I didn't feel hot nor nauseous.

My techs were very experienced and probably took a only a minute or two to set me up.  I am wondering if different people have different set up's!  LOL  Not sure how to put that.  I have heard that some people have 3, 4, 5 tattoos.  I only have 2 so maybe it took less time for them to set mine up than someone who has more tattoos.  Does that make sense?

My techs also were very experienced-they had years & years between them.  The 1st real treatment took longer than any of the others & then the rest probably only took a minute to get everything lined up & the zaps started, if that.  I loved my rad techs - they were all very caring, funny & efficient.

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for the feedback... I have 3 tattoos and i am small busted and thin...(Makraz:  maybe we do have different set ups?) Tomorrow they will be taking more x rays to make sure that everything is lined up correctly...

    On a different note:

Has anyone had a burning and itching feeling all over their body?   Today i had to take my pants off to relieve the itching on my legs... They feel dry, but never before have i had this sudden burning and itching... Hoping that i am not having some crazy side effect that is rare??? Anyone had this sensation?  Thanks again...
