Ladies I got good news and bad news
Today at work I got a call from my PS that she was able to fit in my tatoo today. She was suppose to do it Monday but a surgery came up and she asked if I was ok to cancel and wait. So of couse I said yes but told her to give me a call if she could get me in.
The bad news... today I was told another co-work ( this make 5 co-workers) who was my best friend in high school and I was in her wedding and she was in mine just found out yesterday she also has breast cancer. I haven't had a chcne to talk to her yet but left a message on her phone. Well on the happy thought maybe she would be willing to join us in Vegas. If she has questions I can't answer ( radiation and chemo) I may be sending her to you lovely ladies.
I'm a little sore from the pressure she put on my implant as she was tattooing but for the most part doing well
Love u ladies : )
Sandy/Sunshine : )

{{{SANDY}}} My heart just aches!!!!
Gretchen please let us know the results!!
I go to the pic forum...and I still don't know why I torture myself.... everybody looks so beautiful...I feel so NOT. I still feel that ONLY skinny girls get bc....especially when I look at the pic forum.
OK feeling sorry for myself tonight.
-
{{{{Jazzy}}}} what's up? Only skinny girls? NOT! I am a very "healthy" 150lb and although I have talked myself into liking my implants I don't think I am really. Just got to live with it for now.
Sandy - OMG...5 coworkers? I am so sorry. I'm sure that the latest one will be surrounded by a lot of love and support and hopefully join us here when she is ready.
Thanks for asking ladies - my scan was uneventful, but I have to wait until first of next week for the results. Just have to put it out of my mind until then. I'll let you know when I find out. Thanks again for the support! Have to say as I was walking in the building yesterday morning I kind of had a pitty party moment - all by myself(my choice), but then I had this warm feeling of a bunch of you marching up to that building with me. Weird I know but thanks to you who prayed for me. By the way - skipped the pasta last night but indulged in the other!
Wishing y'all a happy Friday and wonderful weekend!
-
Jazzy, hey, you forgot about me! I am not, never have been, and never will be, skinny!!! Unlike Gretchen, I am not brave enough to post my weight, but let's just say that I weigh more than she does. Remember, it's not the size of your butt that's important, it's the size of your heart! Some of us just don't have skinny genes, but we are still beautiful!!! And that means you, girl!
Luv ya,
Diane
-
Sandy, OMGOSH!! One of those saying's that I use to hear was you get 5 women together & at least 3 out of those 5 will have some sort of Cancer.....then here you have it at your office. In a positive way to look at it, Look at all the Sista's in one place to give each other ongoing support!!
Gretchen, keeping finger's crossed for positive news!!!!
Jazzy-don't be so hard on yourself-you've got something that other's would die for-A big wonderful sence of humor & kind Heart!!!
Diane-yeah!! Let's hear it for us Plus size survivor's!! Hip Hip & some booty as well..HURRAY
Girls...why can't I find the pictures of all these tat's on the picture forum?? I have access & now that there is a new possibility of me getting implant's, I want to see what I might get to look like. Granted I still have to wait yet another year..but what am I doing wrong??? I get lost in trying to find the pictures somehow & sent to all sort's of other places..member's, long long list's...HELP
Wishing all a great healthy weekend!! 153 days till VEGAS!!!!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie

Susie -- go to the Under Construction section to look at photos... some of the posts are photo free but you should see plenty. There are also photos under Well Burnt for women who have had radiation (although the Under Construction also includes radiated skin photos the Well Burnt section is especially for that).
Jazzy!!! I know what you mean. I look at the photos of all these gorgeous skinny women with gorgeous new girls and all I can think is: I never looked that good anyway lol. I am definitely in the Rubenesque category
You are not alone.
-
No way Jazzy...I was not skinny when I got BC! I've got the "thighs in motion" going for me!....lol Hang in there, you're just having an off day. You're a beautiful upbeat, caring lady inside and out...
Terri
-
Jazzy, I don't know about the rest of your body, but your face is gorgeous and I'm sure beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. I've found myself questioning the statistics of weight increasing the risk of bc when I look at the picture forum. There are so many thin women on the picture forum. Maybe thin women are more comfortable posting, I don't know, but for those who are larger, I wish there were more pics to support those newbies too.

Hello to all my old friends and new. I am not on very often anymore, as I am really busy with work right now.
Jancie -- Yes, I booked our room. I haven't booked my airline flight yet, but that is not a concern. Flights are easy to book and fairly cheap from Phoenix to Vegas.
Jazzy -- I don't go to the picture forum either anymore, as I think everyone's recon looks better than mine. But, I have (grudgingly) accepted it for now. And, I weigh too much as well. However, it is not my butt that bothers me -- is is my waist. My waist has gotten so large and flabby since my diagnosis, it is appalling. But, I am working out a lot lately and hope for some improvement before Vegas. OK, enough of my pity party about my body image. Other than that, I am doing a thousand times better psychologically. Two years out and I am feeling so good that I am weaning off my anti-depressants. As, Laura would say...WAHOOOOOOO....
I wish all of you health, happiness, and great results!
-
If you ladies remember meeting KittyKat when we were in Vegas check out exchange city thread
She could use a hug from all of us...
Sorry to pass on more bad news but I'm sure especially the gals that met her last year at paint the square pink would like to give her some extra support right now.
-
ok I can't go up without say....
Jazzy you are one hot mama and have a bubbly personality to go with your hot bod
You don't have to be a size 3 to be smoking
because gal u r one smoking mama ; )
-
YOU GIRLS ARE THE BEST!!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!
My heart just aches for Kitty....:-( It just ISN'T FAIR!!!!
-
Jazzy, Jazzy......Have you seen my thread, I am anything but skinny, we already had that conversation, remember.....SO when you feel bad just go there take a look at me and you will feel better. BTW, I am no saying I feel bad about myself, yes I wish I was skinnier and toned, I am working on the toning part, never been skinny so I do not think I will be now. I am just happy that for right now I am doing good and enjoying myself. As I told my husband the other day whoever does not like how I look they can look away or close their eyes......LOL
Jazzy you are beautiful inside and out, I am not saying that to make you feel better, I really believe it....So If I believe it you need to start believing it yourself too......
Hope you guys are having a great weekend
Hugs
Gisellla

Sandy.. your co-workers and you.. OMGOSH... is the plant you work in.......SAFE??????????? I am sorry to hear all this.. LORD.... I know you will be there for them... this is just the person you are.
yes, Kitty... we are all praying for her. I believe.. out of the original TaTa's.. she is the first one to get the cancer back ..
.... So far.. it just is showing up in the breast/scar area... what we NEED to really pray for... ( I have a prayer thread called CATHOLIC, and you DO NOT have to be one to come pray if you want)...is that she has NOTHING in her nodes... that it is local 100%.
Jazzy... the junk you have in your trunk ( as I saw you in Vegas all weekend) is smokin hot like Sandy said girl... you have a figure and curves that WORK.. you kinda have a figure like Jennifer Lopez ( your butt is SMALLER).... you are the whole package lady... you are too short though..... BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
( spoken from a woman who is 5 ft when she stands up real straight)
(JAZ) Pick up your smile for us... and do your thang girl!
Plus... your boobs looked good in Vegas... I thought????? good size... round... perky... I though they were hot?? !!
Hang in there sisters.... on all our sad and bad days... if WE have tomorrow... then it is a GOOD day.... it just is!!
Love you all!
-
Just watched Coyote Ugly with my DH today so I am totally ready for Vegas!!! (Well, except for the part about losing 25 lbs oh yeah and the pole dancing moves but there is still time . . . .) Ha!!!
Jazzy ~~ help me out with the dance moves!!!!
Am so looking forward to this trip. Haven't checked with Sandy yet but think that we will be happy to have crackers/cheese/salami ready to snack on with everyone's wine at the cocktail hour. Will probably bring a case of wine since we are planning to drive over on Thursday.
WooHoo!!! Colleen
-
I am not sure about the wine and cheese thing?? Is this real Colleen or a joke?? If it is real.... and we can BRING the wine......AMAZING... last year I had to pay 10$ a glass in Vegas....
SUNSHINE and PACKER went to Coyote Ugly last year.. just the two of them... I was just to drained from Rads and Herceptin ETC to do any real dancing last year.. but they had fun !!
-
So sorry about Kittycat. This cancer crap stinks...
Colleen-that is so funny you mention pole dancing...because at PH they have a pole dancing/exercise class! It looks like so much fun! (The website shows a short video of it). It is $40 for just the basic class. I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks (and Oct) and we will be taking the class. I will let you know how it actually is!
-
Has anyone heard from YvonneB? I checked her profile and she has not posted since Sept 09 but she was looking on the boards in Jan. 10.....I was just wondering about her.
Lynn Redgrave passed away today from breast cancer. She was 67 yrs young.
-
OMGOSH Linda...where IS OUR SWEET YVONNE!!!!?????
-
Yvonne had Pm'd me.. when she did... it just said she could not commit to being here as much and that she loved us here and all the support she got. I told her that she was just SO SO funny and gave us all such a good time.. and we missed her. But..... some people make friends for life... some are just a stepping stone in life.....
God Bless you girls! Linda.. I hope you are recouping from your trip! How is the Hair Biz?
-
WELL I MISS YVONNE!!
-
TraceyZ - remember those shirts you brought with you last year? I ended up buying a long sleeve white shirt and a short sleeve navy shirt....well...........................The white shirt ended up being cut off of me in the ER last week. I was not happy about it at all! The good news was no broken ribs, just bruised every single on them on my right side along with my right hip bone. All of the muscle and soft tissue on my ribs was torn so it is going to be a while before I start feeling better. I took every combination of drugs I could find and nothing would take the pain away. The only thing that helped was taking muscle relaxers which put me to sleep to where I don't feel the pain but trying to sit up from laying down - that was enough for me to scream bloody murder. My beautiful horse launched me off of her in a lesson on Tuesday. 2 days later my husband left for a 3 week trip, he had this trip planned last year and cancelled it due to me starting chemo treatments and there was no way I was going to ask him to cancel it two years in a row so I sucked it up and told him I was fine (big fat lie).
-
OH Jancie
I second what Daisy said...wish we all could be there for you
Here's to a quick recovery.
-
Jancie,
OUCH! Oh boy, that sounds like it's going to be a long healing process. Take it easy on yourself while DH is gone. Call friends for help, if you have to.
-
Doc just called with the PET scan results and I am clear of cancer! My lung nodules remain unchanged since last scan. But I do have Bursitis brewing in my left shoulder (funny because it feels better than my right ever did!) The bummer is that some sort of lymphoid hyperplasia showed up in my throat and I have to have a Cat scan of that area. That's the rabbit trail I was hoping I would not have to chase down...some stupid thing that I would never have known about but now have to trace down and see what it is and what to do about it. But, I have to remember the first thing out of my doctors mouth was - there is no sign of cancer! Thanks ladies.
-
Forgot to say - Feel better Janice!!! Take care and rest those achy bones.
-
Good news Gretchen! So glad to hear it!!! Let's hear it for CLEAR PET SCANS!!!
-
CLEAR PET SCAN FOR GRETCHEN!!!!!!!
can I hear a wahoooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeee
I am so sorry you are facing the other test but for now we will celebrate NO CANCER....
Love to you
Linda
-
Wahoooooooooooo Gretchen!
-
Jancie -- You poor dear. I wish I lived closer; I'd come take care of you. Heal fast! Robin
