Since March of 09, I have had chemo,bi lat mast. with expanders and my exchange surgery in Feb 10. I am on Herceptin until Oct. As you know, the fatique was overwhelming at times this past year.  Lately, I have begun to feel like my self again--lots of energy. Over the past month, I have gone out with friends every weekend. (Not something I did before dx) I feel like I am acting like I am in college. Has anyone gone wild after getting their energy back?

I find I do a lot of thing I would have never done before. When faced with life being over at DX and coming out the other side it changes you! I think life is precious and I should live it to the fullest every day! Don't feel bad, LIVE and ENJOY IT!

    XO,

    Regina

Yep, I went wild with spending!  I redid a lot of our home.  But since it'd not been spruced since 89, It was time.  We were also integrating my inlaw's furnishings into our home--at least what I couldn't convince my dh to leave for sale, after his dad passed away.  So, I freshened up the house and loved every minute of it.

I haven't gone wild, exactly, but I've wanted to -- does that count?  I still have lots of tired days but when I feel good, boy, do I want to scream and shout and go dancing and kiss every man I see (oops, who said that?) and just LIVE!  I boogie in my car and don't care how stupid I look, I smile at everyone, I put the top down on the car and enjoy the wind in my hair.... yeah.  It's good to be alive!

I thought maybe chemo shook something loose in my thought processes. A few months out from surgery, chemo and radiation, still on Herceptin and Femara, I went on two unprecedented trips  - in airplanes, by myself (with people at the destinations) - one across the ocean, one south. The last time I went on a trip like that was the early 1970s.
