Ladies,

I had the works just like you--chemo, lumpectomies, radiation and reconstruction last October.  My stage 3 diagnosis was in late 2007.

This week I thought my affected breast really seemed sore all over and I'm now wondering if it is unusual to have soreness this long after treatment?  I know I've had soreness before but this time it just seems a little more pronounced.  Anyone experience intermittent soreness like this?

Are you taking tamoxifen?  That can make your breasts sore off and on....  believe it or not your hormones still fluctuate even if you dont' have much estrogen in your body....  my breasts get sore around period time even if I dont' have a period.  If it keeps feeling sore definitely get it checked out...  3 week rule... still hurting in 3 weeks then get to the doctor.  Wishing you peace and health.   Tami

    Idaho,

I take Aromasin and just resumed after a 2 week respite from taking it. I'm also wondering if it's as simple as just gaining a few pounds (which I am guilty of) thus, the bra fitting tighter.  I have an appt with my breast surgeon tomorrow so will see what she says.  I do know that I have intermittent discomfort on and off due to the radiation.  Hope that's all it is.
