Is anyone aware of articles that address the prognostic significance of different degrees of Her2 amplification? All the articles that I have seen distinguish between Her2 positive and Her2 negative but none of the articles that I have seen addresses the prognostic significance of a positive Her2 with a very high FISH ratio (such as 12) and a positive Her2 with a FISH ratio of 4 to 6. Thanks for any insights.

Theres no difference between high and low fish amplification ratio i terms of DFS

thanks a million. The article (the abstract) was helpful and led me to a good editorial in the April 2010 Journal of Clinical Oncology, which emphasizes the heterogeneity of Her-2. This is clearly an area for continued exploration.
