    Hi ladies,

    I had to brag a little to you all as I know you will appreciate this!  My awesome daughter Lauren was one of 16 kids in the DC area chosen to be on the Youth Crew for the Avon Walk this year this weekend!  She also was asked to be one of the speakers at the Opening Ceremony in front of the Washington Monument (in front of about 2000 people!).  I have participated for many years, and since I'm not doing it this year, she decided she wanted to do it in my honor.  I also have a friend doing the Relay for Life in my honor this year.  I am so proud of Lauren I could just pop, and plan on being there---at 6:30 am---to cheer her on on Saturday.

    Oh, btw she was supposed to raise $500 to participate and actually raised over $1,200!  All going to help each one of us!!!Sealed

    Sharon....your daughter is an amazing young woman!!!  That is quite a bit of fundraising.... I crewed for the Denver Komen 3 day last summer and going to do the same again this summer....DD does the RFTC with me....I will have to tell DD about your DD....

    This is Awesome. It never ceases to amaze me how great our kids have stepped up to the plate when Mom isn't doing her best. Way to go Lauren!!!
