Tracey sweety.. what is wrong with your wrists? I have arthritis BAD in the wrist I had nodes removed.. and ALL my doctors told me NO NO NO to any cortisone shot in that wrist.. no matter how much pain I have... due to LE threat....
... HOW did you get them to give you a shot???
Thanks Gisella and Tracey for your help!
JOURNEY..... I PM'd you...
-
I think Robin - First Mate booked our room - Group #3. Laura - I don't have easy access to our list from last year - can you PM Giselle her last name? I don't know how often Robin gets on the board and I haven't seen her respond to this thread in awhile.
-
Group 12 will be in Vegas but at a different hotel (MGM Grand) ...... just a reminder.

Does anyone know what's up with Tim Tam? I PM'd here several days ago because I have forgotten my login info for the picture forum and she hasn't gotten back to me.
-
Good afternoon Ladies:
Thank you very much for the response, I got the master list from the hotel and also got your responses and after matching everything, we have 6 rooms left. I have one participant that has not responded but I was able to figure out her name using Tracey's list and one person that I cannot figure out who she is. At this point we are not adding any more room to the block and the kind of rooms and price is not available any longer.
I confirmed with the reservations manager that the drinks are on us promotion is in our reservation. Once we get closer to the date we will figure out how that is going to work.
Once again thank you for your help and have a fantastic week.
Hugs
Gisella

Gisella - I just PMd you with my info about 15 minutes ago. Hope you got this and that I'm not the one that you "can't figure out who she is"! Thanks for doing this!
-
I'm in! Made my reservations today. I think we are group 6, Tracy and Kristina. Whoop!
-
Mona -- I think Timtam had some recent issues and surgery and recovery to follow... so that may be why she has not responded yet.
-
TRACY !!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
So Glad Kristina is coming back with you.. I HOPE I have more time to visit with you two!
-
LAURA AND GISELLA,
ITS A CONDITION CALLED DE QUERVAINS TENDINITIS SYNDROME AND IT IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL!!!!!
THE ONLY WAY AROUND THE SHOTS IS SURGERY. WHICH I AM GONNA HAVE IN JUNE. FOR ME THE SHOTS ONLY WORK FOR ABOUT 3 MOS. AND IF YOU DONT GET THE SHOTS OR HAVE THE SURGERY THE CONDITION JUST BECOMES MORE AND MORE PAINFUL. GOOGLE IT IF YOU HAVE TIME. I WOULD BE THE ONE TO HAVE SOME FREAK SYDROME OF THE WRISTS!!!!! I OFTEN WONDER IF CHEMO WAS THE CULPRIT!!???
ANYHOW THIS REUNION IS GONNA BE A BLLLLASSSSSSSST!!!!!!!! CANT WAIT TO BE WITH ALL MY OLD AND NEW SISTERS!!
HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! GET READY FOR US VEGAS! IT'S ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Aw Tracey what a bummer!!!!! Hope the shots make you feel better... and the surgery!
-
Oh man Tracey - that's the pitts! Hope the surgery gives you the relief you need.
Thought I would tell you guys that I have posted a picture of my 4 day old 3D tatts on TimTams site. I had them done by our friend Earleen in Asheville and I am SO please with the results so far. BTW Earleen is an angel! I talked to Linda54 last night and she will be posting hers soon as well. (Today she is headed back to MS.)
Tomorrow I am having my first full body PET scan so I am doing the 24 hour diet of no sugar, artificial sweeteners, and no carbs. ARE THEY KIDDING ME??? I just snuck in my multigrain toast and glass of OJ...it's not 24 hours until my test yet...maybe 25. Guess I had better lock up the chocolate that lurks in my desk drawer at work. An no diet cokes....no bread at lunch...no popcorn midday snack. This day is going to suck big time!
-
Journey, I never had to diet for a PET scan. Your doctor is a beast!! NO carbs? You've got to be kidding...! Oh well, a 24 hr diet...if you could lose 10lbs in 24hrs, I'd do it too!!..JUDY
-
Journey, isn't Earleen great. I told her she needs to schedule the Beauty ball another date, it is the Saturday we are in Vegas. I live about one and half hour or two from her, depending on traffic and speed.
I wanted to give you another reservations number our group sales contact gave me. It is 1-866-580-4533. Hope you guys are having a great day.
Hugs
Gisella

Gretchen,
I'm glad you are so happy with the tats. When I can get back into the pic forum, I'll take a look. I had kind of forgotten about doing mine, just enjoying the "no procedure" thing for awhile, I guess. Now I'm itching to get them done.
Good luck with the diet today. I've never heard of a special diet for a PET scan either. Did your doc say why?
-
Apparently they will inject me with a radioactive form of glucose and want as little sugar in my body existing as possible. Instructions are really strange because I see now that I can't do any strenuous exercise 24 hours prior to. Also, it says that after the injection I have to relax and take a nap for an hour before the will do the scan - won't even let me read. ??? All I'm saying is that by 6 pm tomorrow night I'll have a cocktail in one hand, a plate full of pasta, and date with hubby!
-
Good Luck Journey. Keep us updated on your result.
Hugs

Journey - Yeah they check your blood sugar before they give you the contrast and if your sugar is too high they won't do the test. Sounds a bit like overkill though! I was told to not eat anything from the night before (about a 10 hour fast)... so just didn't eat anything after dinner and didn't have breakfast. My test was at 11 AM. They had me sitting in a comfy chair for the wait time... and I believe I was allowed to read but yeah they did watch me to make sure I sat still and stuff. Good luck!
Also: the tats look awesome!
-
Gretchen... lordy girl.. nasty day...EEKKK... pasta and wine...with the hubster after... THAT will make the day AOK. Good luck with the test.. it will be ok!!! Just another day in Paradise sister!
Enjoy that wine will ya!
-
Good luck Gretchen! I agree a bit overkill. I had a PET at the beginning of my bc journey and I don't remember any special diet. I did have to sit in a relaxing room in a recliner, but I'm sure I could read if I had wanted to...weird. Here are some preperations I found listed on the internet...

I have my next PET scan June 8th...specifically for my nasty lung nodules. urgh
Where is our Vegas counter???....Susie???
-

The outpour of love & support for my loss of my sweet Dear Kitty family friend REA' 0:) has been sooo touching-words cannot even begin to tell you all how much it has meant! Thank you all you (((HUGS)))
155 days to go.....Vegas here we come again!!!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
-
Gretchen!!!!
you did not mention this to me on the phone.....I am praying for you sister...
-
Well ladies .... I am not here as often as I used to be. But Kathy and I have booked rooms and booked flights and we are game to go. I just pm'd my last name. Am I missing anything else we need to do? I can't wait to meet all of you!! It will be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Gretchen, GREAT tats! I'm now figuring out how I can make it to Asheville this summer! Good luck tomorrow, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
-
Yeah Mykidsmom! It's a great feeling when you know you are booked and gonna come isn't it?!!
Thanks for all the well wishes. Linda - I guess I just have been taking this one day at a time and not dwelling on it. Now I think I am a little freaked. 6 months ago when my oncologist talked to me about doing a whole body scan instead of just another lung CT - I thought is was a great idea. Now, I am worried about false positives. Or, heck, just positives. I hate this damn roller coaster. But, I am soooooo thankful to have all these sistas to hold my hand when I need it. Thanks ladies!
Now, fashion question. Do we wear BC type shirts most days? And are fancy duds called for nighttime?
-
OK.. Last year we wore our TATA shirt only one night.. the Piano Bar.. it was fitting.. !
The rest of the time... your normal cloths for the weather. We will know the weather when we get closer...
Everyone looked great and comfortable...
We will all talk fashion as the time draws... you can count on it! Once we get an idea of what we are doing and where are we going..:)
HI LINDA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW ARE YOU ???????????????????????
Oh please post over on EC how you did with the tats?? You never listed yourself there for this..I hope your visit with your mom was good too!
-
Hello Laura
My visit was great except for the blackberry winter that came through. Windy and cold!!!
I never go to Exchange City. Too much to try to keep up with.......
I made some pictures so when I get those posted to the picture site I will let everyone know on EC. I am still having to keep the gauze and ointment on the tatts but so far they look great. Earleen told me that my grafts are the best she has seen. I will have to tell my PS what she said.
My mother did not believe me when I told her I was flying to Vegas...she knows how I am....my sister convinced her that I am going.....LOL....I will be praying for God to keep me calm.
-
I have posted pictures of my tatts by Earleen. Weds was my 2 yr anniv of my Bi-lat MX with Lat Dorsi flap recon. I thought I was finished months ago but decided to add color.
VEGAS ....how many days?
Celebration time for me...
-
Sylvia and I just booked our flights! Las Vegas here we come !!!!!!!!!!
