Hello, dear Elephant Sisters........I looked all back through the active threads and unfortunately our other Elephant Thread started by Whoosiedoodles is gone...Is is no longer active...SO in honor of our dear Whoopsiedoodles and the Wonder Elephant Sisterhood, I thought I would start this thread...
This thread ismeant to be a positive, upbeat, and warm place to come to lean into each other and be held up by each other as is needed........
I know there are several on the boards already who could use some loving elephant truns to keep them up and gently pat them.....To name a few.......Footprintsangel, Mena, Saint, Heidi-Ho, Hannah (Sweet Pea who is now 11) and all our most recently diagnosed chatters.......
Please everyone, put your trunk in and send positive elehant hums to all our sisters who are hurting and in need of comfort.......
Let's not let this board separate us for any reason.........
Whoopsiedoodles, this board's for you!.........

I have become someone who just feels overwhelmed and can't move on. I went through treatment for breast cancer six years ago, my husband became disabled five years ago, I started a second job to support us while we waited for his disabiity hearing four years ago, we declared bankruptcy three years ago, my husband had to have heart surgery two years ago, and my boss became a crazy man one year ago. I survived all these. It was terrible, all of it, but I survived. Then on May 26, I got fired, after a 26-year career, nearly 9 years of it at my last job. It just crushed me. Work was the one place I felt safe.
It was like that was the needle in the haystack that did me in. I'm now working two part-time jobs, including one I hope becomes a full-time job, and I'm not really looking for advice. I just need to let off steam.
We had our children early with plans of enjoying our 50s - traveling, going on cruises, etc. Instead, it's been a nightmare. I can handle the load most of the time, but every so often, I just get resentful. This is the one place I can come and know everyone else knows what I'm talking about. I can't help but feel cheated. Not only has my life potentially been shortened, I'm married to a prematurely old man who couldn't do things even if we could afford to. Okay, I'm done now, and I feel better. And I LOVE elephants.

Oh my, I find myself in tears everytime I hear of elephant sisters, and remembering our dearly beloved "HeatherBLocklocklear a/k/a Annie Camel Breath."
What a woman! And what a loss that she is gone. . .
Yup, we have a whole haven of elephant sisters waiting to push and shove and hold up any of those that need it. . .
Just call out, and we will be there!!!!
