Another Brick in The Wall - Pink Floyd

So it slips through your hands like grains of sand, you watch it go
There's no time to be lost, you'll pay the cost so get it right
There's no way out of here, when you come in you're in for good

Secret Agent Man - Johnny Rivers

Sugar77, I wonder if we were ever at pine knob at the same time (probably not, you look younger than me!)

And I'm possessive, it isn't nice
You've heard me saying that smoking was my only vice

Love the Beatles Birthday Song!  I sing it to myself every birthday Laughing

    Ok, I don't think I gave enough lines of the lyrics of the last song so here's more;

I wasn't jealous before we met
Now every woman I see is a potential threat
And I'm possessive, it isn't nice
You've heard me saying that smoking was my only vice
    But now it isn't true
    Now everything is new
And all I've learned has overturned
    I beg of you...

Sorry about that - it's an ABBA tune - Lay all your love on me - it's one in the musical Mama Mia.

How about this (one of my very favorite songs):

And the waitress is practicing politics as the businessmen slowly get stoned. Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinkin' alone.

    Piano Man - Billy Joel

I went back to the doctor
    To get another shrink.
I sit and tell him about my weekend
But he never betray what he thinks.

The Real Me - The Who

Hey, Eddie, can you lend me a few bucks
And tonight can you get us a ride
Gotta make it through the tunnel
Got a meeting with a man on the other side

    The River - Bruce baby!!!!

Oh, I can't take another heartache,
Though you say you're my friend, I'm at my wits' end!
You say you're love is bona fide,
But that don't coincide with the things that you do
And when I ask you to be nice, you say

you gotta be Cruel To Be Kind

I knew the song but had to google the artist - Nick Lowe

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin' cotton and my brother was balin' hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And Mama hollered out the back door "y'all remember to wipe your feet"

too obscure? Ode to Billy Joe - Bobbie Gentry

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZt5Q-u4crc

    Here's another one to try:-)

    She keeps Moet et Chandon
    In a pretty cabinet
'Let them eat cake' she says
    Just like Marie Antoinette
    A built-in remedy
    For Khrushchev and Kennedy
    At anytime an invitation
    You can't decline

    Caviar and cigarettes
    Well versed in etiquette
    Extraordinarily nice...

    Killer Queen....good one, groundhog!

The boy said "My names Johnny

And it might be a sin

    But Ill take your bet

    You're gonna regret

'Cause I'm the best there's ever been"

Thanks Suzanne, one added benefit to this game is you find out what the actual lyrics are!

The Devil Went Down To Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band

Well, I'm running down the road
    Tryin' to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind,
    Four that wanna own me,
    Two that wanna stone me,
One says she's a friend of mine.

Yes it was Queen!..and strangely NOT the Queenie-est song they did!

Groundhog ~ True! I am finding out that the lyrics I've been singing all my life are totally wrong!  Lol!  I didnt recognize Killer Queen til the caviar and cigarettes....

    Take It Easy...The Eagles

    Here's an oldie-but-goodie:

Oh but your lips were thrilling...much too thrilling

Never before were mine so strangely willing

But now I see what one embrace can do

Look at me...it's got me loving you madly

Heart and Soul?  By a lot of artists but I'm going to attribute my knowledge of this to my mom.  She used to go around the house (in the 60s) singing this song all the time!

Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.

    Hey Jude....The Beatles

And yes! It was Heart and Soul!  I know it by Jan and Dean....but it probably wasn't their song originally....but technically, you don't have to note the artist, unless you happen to know it!

Love doesn't come in a minute

sometimes it doesn't come at all

I only know that when I'm in it

    it isn't silly...it isn't silly...It isn't silly at all!

Silly Little Love Song - Paul baby!!!!!

Well, I'll bet you I'm gonna be a big star
Might win an Oscar you can never tell
The movies gonna make me a big star
'Cause I can play the part so well

That is Act Naturally!  I don't remember who did it...but I did have a 45 of that song, which I inherited from an older cousin.  Boy o boy, I could kick myself for not keeping that box of records!

Here's another from that little box:

The lights are much brighter there

You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares

Downtown by Petula Clark - I love that song

And, I love this song even more:

I know that I am leaving my best friend,
A friend who taught me right from wrong,
    And weak from strong,
    That's a lot to learn,
