Will Medicare B as secondary pay the difference?

I am still working (67) and have BCBS coverage but as you know, even the 20% difference is high and stressful.   This has just begun for me.   If I quickly sign up for  Medicare B as my secondary, will they not pay the differences?   I spoke to someone from SS who told me they would not but I don't think this is right.  h  Any thoughts or experience?

Radiation coming up next.   Sure could use the help.

I retired at 65 1/2 in December and so signed up for Medicare Part B. At the time, I didn't realize that my employer would let me keep my BCBS for 3 months at my employee rate, which I ended up doing. During that 90 days, my treatment/care was billed with Medicare as primary, then to BCBS.I just had to watch my bills and call as necessary. I would contact Medicare and see what they say.

I don't believe you can sign up for Medicare if you are working and have insurance through your employer.  My friend went on disability years ago, but couldn't sign up because she was on her hsuband's insurance policy.  When you do sign up, Medicare will be your first and your supplement or employee insurance will be second.  And yes, 20% does add up.
