dcis, the only reason to have an invalidity insurance refusal?

I just bought a house and asked for an invalidity insurance. I went through a questionnaire on my health status and they ran blood and urine tests.  I just got a refusal letter saying that with infos that were transmitted to the insurance company, they would be refusing my proposal. If I want to know why they refused, I have to provide them with my doctor's fax number and then my doctor will tell me.  My question is: do you think that they refused because of the dcis I've got 2 years ago, or they discovered something else in my blood? I am not able to join my doctor and I am in a state of panick and confusion. Need your help...

I think it's the DCIS just two years ago.

Insurances like that do not want to cover anybody they even remotely think they'll have to pay claims to cover.  Although your future after treated DCIS is very optimistic they are very conservative about who they'll cover.

Can't you get life/disability insurance through your job? That's a better type of insurance than just insuring your mortage anyway.

Many thanks for your answer Rose. That's a relief; at least now I know they haven't necessarily found something bad in the blood tests. When I read the refusal letter from the insurance company, I had the same feeling than when I saw the biopsy's pathology report  (the secretary was faxing it to my doctor). I already knew I had DCIS, but when I saw ''grade 3/3'' I started shaking and I couldn't concentrate anymore. Anyway, bad memories...

You're right, I already have a insurance with my job so I should not worry, I guess.
