Starting Rads While Undergoing Chemo.

Is it standard care to complete chemo and then begin rads? Are they given together when time is of the essence? Any other reason?

My onc said you need time for your body to recover before starting rads. The chemo has been killing healthy cells and the rads will too. He usually advises 3 weeks between. I had a little longer owing to the Easter holidays.
