Radiation while you have the flu?

I am supposed to go for my dry run tomorrow and start Monday.  I woke up nauseated and a littler feverish; I think it's some kind of stomach virus.  Is there any reason why that would delay the start of radiation?  I'm going to call tomorrow and double check before I leave, but just wondering.  I really, really don't want to delay; I want to get on and done.

DSJ I am really not sure if they would cancel.  Do you think it is nerves?  I am hoping that you will not get sick and it will pass and you wont miss out on simulation......I think once you go there and see what it is all about, you will feel better.  I know I did......I hated not knowing what to expect and now that I do, I am much more relaxed and just counting the days until I am done......Good luck tomorrow and please let us know if you made it and how it went......  June

It shouldn't delay radiation. Good luck!

I had a cold and called them, they said to come in anyway.   You should probably ask to be sure, but I expect they won't cancel.

My team said missing once started was not good and that if I were to get sick, I should call so they can set me up in isolation so I won't share germs but come in anyway.  Basically it won't impact your rads as much as you may share germs with others who have weakend immune systems from chemo or whatever.

I also agree with June 2268 about how much better you will feel when you actually see what will happen and have less "unknowns" in your life.

    Hang in there!

Thanks all for the support.  I woke up feeling much better today.  I know it wasn't nerves, because I had a fever and my husband also had stomach cramps and fever, so probably some kind of 24 hour bug.  Also, (for reasons I cannot fathom), I'm not very nervous about radiation--though  I have been VERY nervous about other parts in the process.
