Middle Aged Memories

I Googled itt, Placenta Plus still exists!  Both shampoo and conditioner.

Pink frosted lipstick, oh yeah!  I even has some that was just the frost, a pearly white; and I had WHITE cake eyeliner too.  I liked the glosses that were popular a little later, especially "Pot O' Gloss" by Yardley.  I had some midnight blue mascara and I had green once too.  These were Maybelline, around the time they had their "Blooming Colors" line.

Lemon Up Shampoo -- the cap of the bottle was shaped like a lemon.

Does anyone remember the name or brand of the small bottles of "body oil" that were so popular in the early Seventies?  I had "Wild Cherry, " "Musk," and, of course, "Patchouli."  There were dozens of different scents, and the oils were different colors which you could see because the bottles were clear.  I wish I could draw the shape of the bottle I remember, then someone else might know the ones I meant. ???

I rememebr Lemon-Up as well.  I don't think my mother let me have it either.

Remember Coty's Wild Musk cologne?

We were at Joe's Crabshack Saturday, and a lot of the servers were were wearing tye-dyed t-shirts that said Love, Peace, and Crabs and a huge peace sign on the back.  Tye-dye, rememebr them mess it made to make them?

What year was the "Thunderbirds" on.  It was one of those marionette type shows.

Several years ago, one of the channels brought back Thunderbirds, and it was fun to see what entertained us as kids.

   I have moved on to "older", but still have my middle aged memories.  Tonight is Friday so I would be watching Twilight Zone, Way Out and the Outer Limits and having popcorn that was cooked in oil in our old pressure cooker that we only used for popping corn.  And we would wash it down with a Tab or red cream soda.  

We didn't get jiffy pop at home at all, but we took it camping and made it over the camp stove.

and the bubble gum was always stale and could break your teeth...hahah.

How many of you had a Bob-a-Loop?  It's like a miniature wooden barrel with a hole in the middle at the bottom and it is attached to a string with a stick that fits in the hole.  The goal was to get the barrel on top of the stick.  It was produced by Romper Room.  We've been cleaning out my parents house and found this toy in its original box. 

I don't remember that toy. 

I tried looking for a little (cheap) toy that we played with as kids, but I don't even know what it was called.  They were small plastic animals with moveable legs that could walk.  They had a string with a lead weight coming from their fronts and you would hang the weight over the edge of the table to make them toddle forward.  Anyone else have these?

Or what about this type, usually made of wood.  Push the button and they would collapse...

I had a deer with little suede ears.  And a donkey.
