Has anyone seen this information yet!!!???

This could be "IT"... THE cure!

MD Anderson is doing research on this NOW.  NON invasive, no chemo, no surgery and 100% of the cancer cells.. GONE

There is a pepsi-fund raiser type of a deal going on right now and you can vote on the website below to help win $250,000 to support ongoing research and clinical trials and to engage 100,000 new donors for cancer research!!!

On the pepsi website it states that "In 2010, upon receiving approval from the FDA to build a larger, human-sized device, pre-clinical testing will begin.  The Zanzius Cancer Research Foundation's goal is to begin Phase 1 Human Clinical Trials by 2012.

This is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is our future!  Our children's future!

Please please please read up on it and go to the link below to vote!

I think a moderator should step in.  Posting the same info on numerous threads on the forum seems like overkill and an abuse of this site.

I agree - this information does not need to be posted on every single forum area of this board.  In fact when this happens, people tend to ignore the thread because it "appears" as nothing more than hype, someone trying to get you to donate money, etc.  Sure I read the thread but personally I am not going to go to the link and read it.  Cures have been promised for years now.  Non-invasive treatments have been promised for years.  Consider me jaded on this subject matter.

I agree.  Plus, don't trust anyone who needs to go to an on line pepsi site and compete with people trying to buy soccer balls for youth projects in order to do cancer research.   Local therapy with radiofrequency ablation and cryotherapy have already been practicied for liver tumors and in the breast.  MD Anderson was doing it previously without the help of this particular  "cancer institute." There is a national clinic trial with ACOSOG right now treating breast tumors with cryoablation.  It may replace surgery in the breast some day but that doesn't get at lymph nodes or the need for chemo or hormonal therapy for systemic therapy.  So, I really don't trust a website that claims they'll deliver no chemo and 100% gone

That's too bad.  Sorry you guys feel that way.  The FDA has approved pre-clinical testing on this.  The FDA has "approved" the research and gave the go-ahead to build a human sized device!  That speaks volumes.  MD Anderson is performing research on it and has been for nearly 2 years.  This is important information that will affect all of us.  It's not hype.  It's something to get hyped "about".

You don't need to look into it.. just posted the news for people who wanted to read it and felt we ALL needed to know about it.

I agree.  This is interesting information but it's one of many interesting studies underway and plastering it all over the board is inappropriate (and frankly, annoying).  One post in the Research forum would have been more appropriate.

As for the significance of this because the FDA has approved pre-clinical testing, well, the FDA approves clinical trials (and pre-trials) every day.  Just because something shows potential and is approved to proceed with a trial does not mean that the trial will be successful and the product/drug/etc. will ever come to market.  Approving something at this stage is a long way from saying that it actually works.  So it is very premature to suggest that this is the "cure".

perhaps the post is in poor form.

however Kanzius was a real genius.. I've read about his research and ideas before and find this 'acceptance' very encouraging.  It's been 'on the news' quite a bit.

I am very familiar with the story and the research.  I'm not suggesting that it doesn't have potential; I was just saying that it's too early to call this a "cure" and it's not necessary or appropriate to post this in most of the forums on this board.

Sorry for upsetting you Beesie.  I didn't mean any harm.  I just thought and still think this is something we could ALL benefit from in the future.. whether that be near "or" far.

I think anything that has this much potential needs attention and most importantly the post was to bring attention to the fact that they need votes in order to win $250,000 for research.  It was posted on every forum in hopes of reaching every woman here.  If we all put in one vote each it would make a huge difference.  If it is known that THAT many women are watching, interested, hoping for this, then that too could help things along!!

Why not????? What harm is that???  Seriously

momto2angel:  I don't think Beesie suggested that "harm" was done - only perhaps that we (here in DCIS - as well as other forums) could be overwhelmed with potential cure articles if they didn't stay in the research area.  I understand that you feel moved to encourage women to support this cause but imagine if we all had an individual cause that we wanted every women here to support - well the women (and men) who need support right now might not get that support because the forum were clogged up with all of our own personal causes..  I certainly hope this does pan out to be a CURE and when it does I'm with ya and I'll shout it from any roof top!!  Best, Deirdre

Edited to add:  I do understand too that it it's important that we all feel hope!  Thanks momto2angel

Am I missing something?  Has she posted and reposted this subject several times in the same forum?  I feel that would be an abuse.  But,  I would not have seen this on any other board were it not posted here.  I think that Mom2Angels is facing a newly diagnosed Stage IV metastasis and now facing liver cancer.  She is passionate about making a difference and finding a cure.  I think that is why many of us are here:  we want to help others through this difficult time.  The truth is, many areas of research are shut down because of lack of funds.  I went to the link she posted.  Pepsi picks a pet project to donate 250K to...this is one of the projects in the running.  Right now it is in 16th place.  The more people who go to the website and vote for this project, the more likely it is that this research will continue. The votes are only up for one month.  It is true:  there are many projects out there and articles on potential cures.  We can not get excited about all of them.  But how many can you make a difference for by just visiting a website and clicking a button?  A website of an established company, research at legitimate and well known cancer centers?  I ;think if I had two young children, Stage IV Breast Cancer, metastasis to my liver discovered less than one month ago.....I might be passionate about the subject as well.

Thank you Deirdre1 and Ladyod for your kind words.  I really didn't mean any harm by posting it everywhere.  I just wanted us to all join together and support this research by voting together.

I hope that someday we will all benefit from this.. and if not this something else.  AND I pray we can all come together and support eachother and our scientists who believe in what they're working on.  Whether it be voting on a pepsi website for funds toward that cause or something else. (Ladyod said it perfectly)

Ladyod.. I only posted it once in "almost" every forum (I think the system booted me at some point)

I feel bad for doing so if it upset anybody

Hi Ladies, well I wanted to put my two cents worth in>

I went to the site and voted, as I thought it was worth the click of a button, even if I dont get the benefit of it, other woman in the future might it enough people get behind this.

Now, I know there are a number of (possible cures) out there so I asked my father whos an engineer if what they are saying is even remotely true.....could this actually work???

Now my dads not a scientiest but hes been an engineer for 40 years, he has also looked into the idea and states that yes this could work, the theory sounds firm....

So, I am going to try and help.....Ive never really been one for getting involved with all these sorts of things, but to come across one that actually works and that someone I trust (my dad) saying that yes he understands the concept and that it could work and work well, well thats enough for

me to want to get involved.  I have seen this topic on other threads, but it wasnt on the research forum that I found it, as I dont go there, as theres so much going on and its all so confusing.  But this is simple and easy to understand.

Im sorry that others have gotten upset about it being posted on other threads, but from me - Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
