Hi guys, i'm just wondering if anyone knew anything about recommended diets...especially helpful ones.

I'm at that stage that i'm afraid to put anything in my mouth cos it seems like there's something abt every food that "feeds/fuels" cancer and it's driving me nuts!

I'm slim (UK - size 8 and US -size 4) and i've always been careful about what I eat and i suddenly come across these mags and websites that tells me to stop eating every thing from Cake to Dairy products(and everything in between).

I want to improve my diet and be sure i'm eating right but at the same time i don't want to starve un necessarily so i'm really curious as to what u ladies eat and don't eat and if it has helped.

Thanks

You might find a book called "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell interesting. On page 243 of the book, it tells you how to eat. (I know the page because I have it hanging on my refrigerator door.) Also, check out "Anti-Cancer" and "Food for Life". They all have similar recommendations which are: eat a variety of fruits and veggies, limit sugar, avoid processed foods, limit refined carbs, etc. I also avoid all animal products including dairy. I know that I am healthier than before and I feel like diet is at least one thing I can control in this journey. Good luck to you.

I am ER/PR positive.  I saw an article that said apples are not good to eat because of the plant estrogen in them.  There were others listed on it too but I don't have it in front of me.  Are we suppose to stay away from apples?  Also can we have a glass or two of red wine a week?

I love the book called "Foods That Fight Cancer" by Richard Beliveau. I pretty much eat those foods along with occasional hormone-free beef/chicken, some fish, a glass or two of red wine and little if any dairy (only organic or goat cheese).
