I just got in the door- this was a looong day. Left at 8 am this morning. Thank you ladies for all your prayers. They sure worked!! I even stayed calm all day despite the fact my original diagnosis came on Good Friday so this was a bit reminicent of things in the past. I even had a visit to the chemo room today for my first Zometa infusion.
Again thank you for the support. Whew!! I am off to get some rest.

JANCIE... you little rat!! LOL.. you are backing out of that early am... BRAT! LOL
OK... as time draws near... I will have you all send me in a private PM ( as this is an open forum and ANYONE on the Internet can see our words) your flight times, just like last year. Then I will put them together... and will let Jancie know who the 1st to arrive in Vegas is... so she can send the TA TA SISTERHOOD sign to..LOL LOL...
Anywho... this all will come in August/Sept... so look for all this stuff then. It worked out so lovely last year..( and NO TA TA was on her own after landing... it was nice to start the bonding right away). and we did Two groups... then those groups took Limos to the hotel for only 7-8 bucks a girl... YES LADIES... we treat ourselves well...:)... ( heck.. cabs and the deuce are 6-9 a person...lol)
More to come......
BLESSED EASTER! My FAVORITE day of the WHOLE YEAR!
-
wahooo packer!!!
-
I would like to go. Kind of depends on the hotel. Let me know when that is picked. I don't have any site friends (that I see herre) that are going, but am lots of fun and would room with anyone. Are you hoping to book in one of the fancier hotels on strip? That would be my preference.
-
Hi Pam WELCOME!!! We would love for you to join us!!! At the top of each page here you will see the hotel, the phone number to reserve your room, and the group discount code to use when booking your room. We are in the early stages of everything and towards Aug and Sept we will have a better idea of who really will be going and what rooms need filling. Trust me you will definitely find a fun roomy cuz all of us are FUUUUN!!!!
HUGS!! Jazzy

I am so excited to say that I am going to be able to go! I have been off work post op for the last month so I just got it ok'd to have the time off!! As Laura says "WAHOOOOO"
Kristinka: I'd love to be your roomie, sounds like lots of fun! I'm gonna see what airfare is like--I saw some great rates when I checked the other day.
Pamfenton: The hotel that was chosen was Planet Hollywood as far as I know.

JAZZY with ALL these new girls going... CAN THEY GET THE VIVA LAS TA TA SHIRTS?????? Can you look into this sweety.. you may have to put a post out here again to everyone going and tell them who to get the shirts...
I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MANY girls are joining us this year.. WOWOWOWOW... how will we ever keep up..... LOL LOL
and yes girls...
Laura signing off.....
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
PS:
if you are going and do not have a roomy... lokk at the top of this thread. She who only has 1 or 2 in a room... and PM that girl. she if she has room for one more roomy. THEN if she says yes... PM TRACEY and tell her. She will then show you in that ladies room. Then everyone in a room will work out via PM or email.. who is paying up front... where to send money... ETC.
It really all works out great! So contact someone on this list to see if you can join their room. this is how we did it the first year. And it was not weird at all... I think some of us thought it might be weird....LOL... but it was not... not at all!
Peace and BLESSED EASTER !!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
PSS: Edited only to say I AM a grammatical disaster tonight, as I am typing IN my sleep..LOL.. so I am not gonna fix the errors, ya'll will just have to love me with ALL my faults...
-
Laura
you are so funny..hope you got lots of good sleep last night.
I am sure not everyone will have a Viva Las Vegas Ta Ta tshirt. I don't think they are producing them anymore but not sure. I bought one last year and when I decided I could not go I sent it to Jancie. I am not planning on investing in another one.... I got to watch my spending...save those pennies for the trip.....
To all my sisters....have a wonderful Easter.... :-)
-
Hannahbearsmom (and Laura) -- Jazzy posted a while ago that she CAN buy Viva Las TaTa's T-shirts (and tanks) directly from the company by special arrangement. So we have to buy through Jazzy. SO: PM Jazzygem and tell her what size and what style you want. I believe the T-shirts run small and the tanks run big (if I remember right).

Hey everyone, this is working out so well, my convention is at PH Oct3-5. So I am trying to figure out what to do, should I just book a room and look for roomates? Does anyone want to stay until the 5th?
I will say once my conference starts I will prettty much have to put on my grown up suits and be all business, and I may have some early morning meetings.
-
Happy Easter Tatas! So blessed to have all of you. Hoping everyone is enjoying time with their loved ones.

Hi girls! I hope you all had a nice Easter and had time to be with family and friends. I just wanted to check in.
I just saw my ps today and he feels the same as me about my lung nodules. I have been doing research on the whole root canal infection thing. I feel that this was the cause of all of my bouts with cellulitis and also thinking it has caused an infection in my lung with these nodules. With the root canal it can harbor bacteria which can spread to other parts of the body. This type of bacteria is a strep/staph type of infection which is the same as cellulitis. anyway, he doesn't want to do any work on my breasts until we get the results from my next ct/pet scan which is schedule for the first week in June. He also keeps in contact with my onc and has discussed me in length. What can I say, they just love me. :-)
I'm hoping that I can get my strength back to start walking again and then hopefully begin to lose weight. I can't stand the way I look and feel about myself and I just haven't had the energy...plus the arimidex has caused joint pain which makes me feel like an old lady...urgh
I'm waiting to hear back from the save the tatas customer service about the viva las tatas shirts. I left a voicemail and hopefully they will call me back soon. I will let you know what I find out.
I just love you girls and you all are so close to my heart it just makes me warm thinking of you.
HUGS! Jazzy
-
OK girls I just got a call back and it looks like they only have the tanks left. I remember somebody saying that the tanks were bigger...can anybody who has a tank let me know....she is pulling the boxes down to see what sizes she has left.
-
OK the Save The TaTas customer service gal is checking into the sizes that are left...they only have tanks left.....if you haven't done so yet, please pm me if you want a shirt and what size. This way I can give her a better idea of what we need.

That's unfortunate about the health issues you have had to deal with along with the cancer. It seems to take so long for our immune systems to kick back in. Hang in there! I know how you feel about lack of energy, I went through the same thing. Just remember to start slowly and gradually you'll work up to the intensity you were used to before all these health issues.
I'm not sure how involved your diagnosis/treatment was, however, I do know that with time, my energy levels and cardio endurance started getting better. I'll send positive thoughts your way :-)
-
Hi everyone,
I called today to put down the deposit on a room and wanted to let everybody know that the phone number has changed form the one in the original post. The new # is 866-580-4201.
TCK
-
Linda54 - just sent you a PM!
-
Jazzy -- love the new pic! Va-va-voom!
Also so sorry to hear about these nagging health problems but it sounds like a good thing if they connect the nodules to the tooth infection (very treatable). I hope you get it all out of your system soon! I hear ya on the weight gain. Sigh. I lost 10 pounds on chemo (everything tasted awful and the runs -- oh my)! Now I've gained it back. So bummed out about that... I was rather liking the lighter me
