I AM FINISHED!!!
June 12 2009 - Mammogram
June 16 2009 - Biopsies
June 19 2009 - Diagnosis
June 25 2009 - Surgery - BMX
August 4 2009 - Chemo
February 2 2010 (?) - Radiation
March 16th - FINISHED IT ALL
March 29th / 31st - CT scans / met with surgical onc and onc - given clean bill of health and PS name to discuss recon and made appt for 04/12 (will more than likely do DIEP) - follow up in 3 months.
I am finally finished with active treatment and can schedule recon at my convience. What a long journey this is starting 9 months ago. I can remember back in June when I was given the dx and treatment plan thinking - this will never end. Then starting chemo and thinking how miserable it was, but came here for support and was told over and over - I can do it. And y'all were right I got through it - it is doable. Not fun, but doable. I did radiation, breezed through it only to have the ending a little rougher than I thought, but again I got through it with your support and understanding. I know I'll need continued support, but wanted to thank all of you for your support, knowledge and understanding.
I still have some recovering to do, but am looking forward to getting back to life and ......exercising regularly again. To all of my Stage III exercise and weight loss sisters I really don't have any excuses now. Time to walk, bike or find whatever I can to whip my butt back into shape......
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I am making so many plans I think I'm going to have to make a list...........I feel like there is nothing stopping me anymore. I am finished with active treament, my youngest is graduating high school and I just got an unexpected promotion at work (they realized how much I brought to the table while I was gone). I feel like I've accomplished so much and it's all at the same time. In addition my surgical oncologist and radiation nurse both asked me to join the support group to bring my sense of humor and good attitude to women facing the same things I have gone through. Wow!!! I would love to give back..............I think I need to hunt down a trampoline and jump, jump, jump for joy!!!!!
Yes........you will see me on the Fitness thread - looking forward to moving on a more regular daily/basis. And............I do love Spring and Summer!!!
-
Jenn - you've put a great huge smile on my face!!
I'm so happy that life is looking so wonderful for you!
The possibilities are endless......

Jenn! You go girl! Live your life and enjoy! You have earned it!!!

Wow Jenn,
CONGRATULATIONS on your accomplishments! You are an inspiration to me!
Take care,
Sharon
