    I didn't know where to put this, so I thought I'd start a new thread.

    I was diagnosed on St. Patrick's Day (March 17) with IDC and IDCS, with cancer cells in the lymph nodes.  My surgery is scheduled for April 14, but the PET scan results I got on Monday may postpone it (metastatic involvement possible at the C-4 level of my spinal column ~ surgeon has ordered another MRI to check it out).  I was really disheartened, but then thought of all the brave women who have been through this ~ and more ~ and was uplifted.

    Hi Irishtess, saw that irishblessing before, it is beautiful!

    You have come to the right place for support.  One of the worst times for me was in between the time of initial diagnosis and surgery decision.  It was the time for me when I was not only dealing with the shock of the diagnosis but waiting on the results of all of the tests, etc., and didn't know exactly what I was dealing with.  Hang in there and best of luck to you.
