Beth, I was just about to send you an email. Was a little concerned as I missed you today on the board. Last nights seder was really nice..good food and nice people. We go again tonight. This friend has excellent home made food and has been my friend since I was 14 . more like my sister at this point.
10 days till we meet... sounds so great..
Hugs,
Francine
I can't wait to meet all the BCO ladies. It has certainly been along year .

Ladies: Not much longer and we will meet in NYC. I am really looking forward to it.
Has anyone heard from Michelle? I don't think she has posted anything since her concussion so now I am getting really worried about her.
Francine: You are so right....long year but we will get a much needed reprive from it all. Can't wait to meet my BC sisters!
That is great that you are still friends with someone since you were 14. I have a group of girls in Nova Scotia that I grew up with and everytime we see each other ...it's just like no time has passed. Three of us started school together when we were five.
Hugs

Michelle has been posing on Facebook quite recently. I think she is recovering.
I am SO jealous of you all for your NYC trip and can't wait to see the pictures. Maybe someone could take a short video too to post on Facebook? Hearing all of your voices would be wonderful.

OMG, I have got to 9pm on the 31st of March and only just now realised that this is my chemoversary. Yours too, I think, Beth P. I am so happy that it only just occured to me now, at the end of a busy and entirely ordinary work day and after a happy evening wandering round a plant shop with LD and eating the weird salad he created for me.
That's how long ago and far away chemo is - this time last year I was in a hospital bed with a drip, peeing out the Red Devil, and now this year I didn't even remember it was the anniversary until it was almost past.
I've said it before but I say it again - thank God for all of you wonderful women.
-
Hi Rachel,
Yes, we both started the red devil at the same time. I didn't really give it much thought either. I think the cancerversary of my diagnosis was more significant to me. I , too am so grateful for everyone here. Such a blessing to have all of you.

Dawn...glad to hear your surgery went well. I am sending healing vibes your way!
Can't wait until NYC.
Francine: Any news on comedy club?? I haven't nailed down the Sat. or Sun. show. Still trying to decide which day to go. Probably Sunday since we will be going our own ways after brunch.
Take care,
Chris
-
Hi Ladies,
Dawn..glad you are healing...Thks for the nice comments..
Chris..I didn't find a comedy club but when I was in Manhattan I saw many giving out stuff on clubs as you said. I guess if we are game after dinner Saturday evening we can look for one. I may research some availablity though. If you decide on going to a show Sunday afternoon I may be able to get you a good price. Let me know and I will call you.
Yes March that very " unspecial" month for all of us is ending today. But on the other we have met all of each other who care so much for one another and provide that extra support when needed,
Any news from Michelle ?
9 days till we meet....What a treat!

I had parent conferences this week so I have been very tired!
I saw my BS on Wed. am. He did an exam, explained that the MRI showed an area of enhancement, but the US showed it was a small cyst. I was feeling pretty good about that until.... He scheduled me for another US in 6 months, not a year. His reply was that my breast is very bumpy and thick with scar tissue. It is difficult to palpitate my breasts so he wants testing. Now I am wondering if the cyst is a little more concerning than he is letting on???
One week till NYC. My sister and I are soooooo looking forward to the weekend!!
Have a nice Easter everyone!!
-
Chris, I am sure the BS is just covering his bases. An US is not that big of a proceedure. I do believe that once there is scar tissue the BS must get to "know" your breast. Relax .. we will always be more tortured than those who never had BC.
Yes I can't wait to meet you and the others.
Fuuny thing happened today. My DH and I took our two cats to the vet for the first time. We inherited them from my son two years ago. Well the vet told us that our girl cat was a boy . We were shocked. But then he told us that our boy cat was a girl . So now Murphy is a boy ..thats an okay name but Karl is now a girl. LOL
6 Days till we meet. What a treat..
Hugs,
Francine
Looks like a real nice weekend for us on the East Coast.
-
Thanks Francine...I had a typo...he is doing another MRI in 6 months not an US. What will be will be.... I am enjoying my life regardless!!
-
Chris..
Good attitude!
Hugs,
Francine
-
Five more sleeps and I will be in NYC. Can't wait. The weather forecast is looking great for next weekend.
Francine, that is hilarious about your cats! You and DH must have had a good laugh over that.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend.

Hi all,
Just wanted to check in.. Happy Easter.. Happy Spring!!! It's going to be a beautiful and I'm going out to enjoy it.....
I'm very much looking forward to NYC... Can't wait.
Francine... Karl was just short for Karla... lol....
Have a great weekend all!
Beth
-
Good one Beth. I never thought of Karla. Francine I would go with that if people ask where you got the name Karl...lol
-
Hi ladies,
Yes only five sleeps till NYC.
Should be great to meet all.
My granddaughter said today that we should call Karl...Karly . So thanks anyway for the suggestions ...we now have a girl named Karly. My DH and I are still laughing.
The weather forecast for NYC is still a little unclear but it will not be that bad.
My DH and I went to the Bronx Zoo today and many flowers are out. I bet Manhattan will be quite pretty.
Have a great Easter ...
Five days till NYC..
Hugs,
Francine
-
Our neighbors cat was originally Elliot and turned out to be Ellie. Karly is a great cat name!
My BS checked me really well when I thought I felt a new lump. My DH said I was very red after being checked. I guess she was getting to know my breast really well with alll the scar tissue and changes from the radiation that she said can contiue for up to a few years.
I enjoyed watching my daughter play lacrosse today for her college. 4 goals, 1 assist, and 9 draw controls. Plus they won!!! Yeah!!!
NY - next weekend!!!
-
Patti,
Great news about your breast. I too believe that the BS must get to know our breasts( or breast).
Funny story about your neighbors cat.
Nice that you were able to watch your daughter play well and see her team win. Is her school in the NCCA.
I too am looking forward to seeing you and the other women in NYC. I guess you have worked out your travel arrangements.
Hugs,
Francine
-
Only four more sleeps or days to NYC. I just can't believe it. I have a lot of great things planned for all.
Hugs,
Francine
-
That's great Francine. I really appreciate that you have done the planning.
4 more sleeps...yippee!
Hugs
