People are stupid where ever you go.
This is not cancer or stage related.
We all know what it is like to deal with dumb comments.
My mom is in critical condition from a car accident last Thursday. My entire family and I are all in denial. She has massive internal injuries. We have been keeping family and friends updated, text message, facebook more than phone calls. Yesterday I update my facebook and someone put the following...
"make sure you get a good lawyer sounds like your Mom is going to need one."
Who the F cares about a lawyer right now, and to boot we think it was moms fault. Are you kidding me?

Ugh, Deb..I'm sorry. I'm keeping your Mom in my prayers. You're right...stupidity is rampant in this world.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My stepdad had a major health crisis at the beginning? of March and it was pretty shaky so I have a sense of the fear and anxiety that you are feeling. I don't know what people are thinking when they say things like that. The only important thing right now is your Mom. Hang in there and know that you can always come here and vent. I'll be sending good vibrations your way and your mom's way.
-
Wow Deb...I am so sorry - will be sure to add you mom to my prayer list...and that comment that was posted is the primary reason I don't work for a law firm anymore...the world is sue-happy and they want to jump on you at the most awful moment...mom is the first priority - she needs to get well with you guys around her - not some blood sucking attorney...sore spot arrgghhh.
Hugs to you and your family and healing angels for you mom!

Don't let the fools get to you - they're everywhere indeed.

Sorry you are dealing with stupid people Debi, and I am still praying for you and your family.
-
Deb, some people were born without couth.......they engage their mouth before their brain....forget them, you have enough on your shoulders and on your mind as it is.....I'm still praying for your Mom and all of you.
Love
Deb

Hi Deb,
Prayers and good wishes for your mom to recover from this. I hope you and your family can get through this tough time without more "advice" from stupid people.

You and your family are in my thoughts and am sorry this has happened.

I am so sorry about your mom's accident. You are in my thoughts. There are a lot of people who speak (or wirte) without thinking it through.

Deb,
So sorry to hear about your mom's accident. I will be thinking about you and your family. I can relate to the stupid things people say. It seems like those comments come up when things aren't going well. Again, my prayers are with your mom and family.
hugs, Pam

Deb, I'm so sorry your mom is going through this. I'm praying for her.
As for the comment - as we've all learned, there are a lot of people in the world suffering from terminal stupidity. The problem with that condition is that the one who has it doesn't suffer from it but everyone in their vicinity does.

((((((Deb)))))))
My prayers are with your mom that she gets thru this terrible thing, and also that your family is able to cope with all that lies ahead, especially with stupid comments. Deb, I also want to send you a virtual hug.

I am almost numb, almost. I have yet to be able to put into words my trip to see Michelle. I came back, never really got settled before the lumps in my neck freaked me out. Found out the lumps are just scar tissues so I got to relax for a day. Wake up the next day to the call from my dad.
They dont know how my mom is still alive at this point. I am in denial. I am so tired of this life bull $hit. I am at a loss, I am lost. I hurt and dont want to hurt anymore. I dont want to play this game. Being in such limbo with my mom is terrible. I am freaking out, but I am not angry. I am always angry~lol. I am just lost.
THANK YOU ALL FOR ALWAYS BEING HERE FOR ME! I AM GRATEFUL.
-
Deb, I have your whole family in my prayers. Some people just open mouth - insert foot, did you 'un-friend' the person who made the comment about finding a good lawyer?
Sheila

Some people are such morons! This is terrible -- I hope you get some encouraging news about your Mom today. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry. My thoughts and wishes go to you and to your family. The thought of this really tears me apart. Sending you a big hug.
-
Deb, some people are just lawsuit-happy. After I broke my foot at my sister's swimming pool and was hobbling around on crutches, a check-out lady in a supermarket--a total stranger to me--remarked that she hoped I had sued them.
For what? It was an accident!
Hugs and prayers for your mother. I pray she has a total recovery.
-
Sheesh Deb,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Keep us posted on how she's doing. In the meanwhile she and your family will be in my prayers. I also am hoping that the person who posted that FB comment was at a lack of expressing themselves. I've found a lot of people when they don't know what to say end up blurting out something they didn't mean to sound the way it did. Doesn't take the sting out of it though........
Take care,
Sharon

I QUIT! I REALLY CANT TAKE ONE MORE DAMN THING!
I think it is hitting me the severity of my moms injuries. I really have no clue how she is alive at this point.
Multipal broken ribs, one they cant find, they think it might be shattered in her back somewhere. Shattered big bone in leg, thought it was the tibia but think that is wrong. Removed spleen. Liver bruised but no holes. Hole in diaphram. Holes in lungs. Multipal fracters in pelvic. Severed tube from kidney to bladder. Fractured wrist. I think both of her ankles are broken. There is more, but I cant remember. How does someone live through this?
OMG I want a GD ciggarette!
-
Sorry that this is happening to your mom, you & family. I am hoping and praying for a healthy recovery.

Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

the big bone is the femur.
I add my wishes for your mom's complete and speedy recovery and I am glad to hear your neck lumps turned out to be nothing.

Deb - stay strong and don't neglect your own needs during this time.
I hope your Mum is as comfortable as they can make her.
((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Deborah, please know that I am thinking about you and your family ((((hugs)))) to all and lots of good thoughts and wishes for your mother. I am hoping and praying that she will make a full recovery. It will be a long process but I'm sure she knows she can count on you.
-
I hope your Mom gets better. What a horrible accident. I can only imagine what you are going through. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
Linda
-
Deb,
Wishing all the best to your mom and your family - be strong.
We are all looking towards treatment for killing cancer cells. I think we should also hope for a cure for people with no brain cells! Delete that person from your FB - that was more than just stupid!
