Today I was grateful for just even being able to drive to church! We had a discussion this morning about how sometimes we are down about something and don't want to get up and how easy it is to wallow in self-pity, but how much better we feel when get up, get dressed, step out of ourselves, and go to church. That's where we find the peace we need to get through this journey. I'm grateful for a wonderful supportive church community.

Im grateful to my DDs. We spent a day together and had fun.

I am grateful that we still have the freedom in this country to say what we think, to express our feelings, and also most importantly, we have the freedom of religion, to believe in GOD, whatever that means to each of us.

I am grateful that my Lord Jesus was willing to die on the cross for me. I am grateful He rose again and sits by His Father in heaven to intercede for me. Thank you Jesus.
-
God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, that everyone who has faith in him may not die but have eternal life. It was not to judge the world that God sent his Son into the world, but that through him the world might be saved. John 3:16, 17 NEBFor this promise I am grateful!

I am grateful that I can celebrate this Easter knowing I have "no known cancer" at this particular minute in time. God has blessed the doctors with knowledge to care for me and help me on this journey. He has given me the strength I need to look outside myself again and start to help others beginning this journey in life.
-
I am grateful I was able to get in my pool this evening and swim for the first time this year.
-
I am grateful that Easter shows the other part
of love.
Jesus redeemed us and died in our stead;
In Him we died and rose from the dead.
No longer is death a thing we dread;
The old is behind us, the new is ahead.
HAPPY EASTER! GOD BLESS YOU ALL
-

I'm grateful I mde it home tonight from church without running out of gas! The light came on just as I got there and since it was dark and cold (no coat) I didn't want to stop on the way home. God got me home safely!

He's my joy,
He's my light.
He's my strength
and my sight.
He's my friend when
I'm low.
He's my Savior
I love him so.
I am grateful to have as my Lord.

I am grateful for this clipping I found from an old Reader's digest that came from Guideposts and I had tucked into my Bible and forgotten. It says:
The flower lady was smiling, her wrinkled old face alive with joy. On impulse I picked out a flower.
"You look happy this morning," I said. "Why not? Everything is good."
She was dressed so shabbily and seemed so frail that her reply startled me.
"You wear your troubles well." She said, "When Jesus was crucified on Good Friday, that was the worst day for the whole world. Then three days later--Easter. So when I get troubles, I've learned to wait three days. Somehow everything gets all right again."
And she miled good-by. her words still follow me whenever I think I have troubles...wait three days.
Happy Easter!
