URGENT - AVASTIN WARNING

Hi Everyone,

I was taken by the EMS to ER on 3/11/10. I could not breathe and my heart was racing out of my chest. 6 hours later after I had the CT done, we knew what the problem was. My lungs were filled with blood clots. I had a huge one in the left lung, with smaller ones and a large one in the right lung with smaller ones. I am lucky to be alive. I was in Critical condition. I was taking Avastin & Zeloda for my skin mets. In the info pack they gave me on Avastin it says that it thins the blood and not to shave or work with sharp objects. My onc. told me it was the Avastin that caused the blood clots. I am now home and on oxygen. It is still hard to breathe. I Goggled Avastin and blood clots and there is a ton of info on the subject and how they can not get the co. that makes it put the strongest black label on the drug to warn people of these blood clots.

Wanted everyone that is taking Avastin to know this, as I said before I am lucky to be alive. Now I don't know what to do for the skin mets.
