How do I tell my family again
I really debated on where to post this. How do I tell my family I am looking at another reoccurance? My husband is finishing up school this May, we finally had gotten back into a routine. I have to say I hate cancer. I am going to wait for the test results before telling anyone. this would be round 3 and I dont know how anyone will take it. Problem is I have no one to worry with me. I told my husband the scans are routine checks. I dont need him worried when he should be focused on school and finding a job.

I have had many scares with the end result of everything being okay.
Hang in there......wait until you get the results. I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you.
and a dose of prayers that 3X is just not going to happen.

My fingers are crossed and I'm thinking of you...........

Prayers go out for you this morning. This is not your fault....This happen to you not b-c of you. I know it's hard not to feel bad for what it does to your family.
Let us know how things turn out!

What procedure did you have done? Or are you waiting to get a procedure done? When do you get the results back?
We'll be here in the waiting room for you. Sending thoughts of clear scans and clear biopsies.
-
Thinking of you today, saying a prayer for you, and hoping that your results are clear.
Many Hugs

You are not alone. Whatever the results, we are with you. Put the worries aside today and live every moment fully. You and your husband have continued moving forward despite the obstacles and I'm betting it will be the same tomorrow, good news or bad. Keep us posted re your test results. We are hoping to celebrate good news with you.

Good thoughts for great test results are coming your way. Please don't blame yourself for the stress your illness has placed on the family. It certainly isn't something you chose or caused. I mean, heck, who would! Keeping my fingers crossed!
-
Crossing fingers for negative results on your testing. Hoping for NED!

Sincerely hoping that this is not a recurrence. Worry about how we are affecting our families is just part of the package I guess. However, if it was your husband who was having to deal with this you would want to know and you'd want to help. You will know what to do when/if you need to deal with this again. Hugs.

thanks for the thoughts all, I had a bone scan yesterday and have a ct of the chest tomorrow. I am a year out of chemo for the last reoccurance. they found a lump under my armpit. I talked to my pastor and told my husband the scans were routine. I dont want him worrying until I know there is a reason to. Keep on praying. I should have results Mon, or tues.

Great news. finally was able to get into doctor today to get results and She said they are "fine" nothing to be concerned about. I of course wanted to know why she had to see me to give me that news and wasnt able to pick up the phone four days ago.
anyway I am doing great and life goes on. thanks for all the prayers.

I am so happy to read this thread. I am going in for a biopsy next Thursday and am in the same boat as far as pretty much keeping this scare to myself. I have told my husband and my bestfriend but that is it. The waiting is so hard. I go from one moment just "knowing" that it is back to the next minute just "knowing" that this is a silly scare. ugh!
