Goodness, gracious sakes. I swear I was in here yesterday......

    Yet sooooooooooo much has happened.

    ((((((((((((((((((((((((((MUM)))))))))))))))))))))))))

We stand with you in your time of sorrow. We send you our collecitive strength and energy to hold you up in the midst of the many emotions. I hope that your family is able to reach out to one another in this time and hold one another up. May there be stories and memories and all sorts of celebrating thru stories that have meant much to each. Please let your dear, dear husband know how much we all feel he is part of our threads here, by your sharing his treasured gift.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((Barbe)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I know that you continually have too much on your plate, beween your medical concerns and those of your husband -- all while working to support yourselves and with such a lengthy communte. I too will keep my fingers crossed that there's a simple medication adjustment that will restore balance. In the mean time, know that we are all here for you.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((Shiny))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Our shiniest, Shiny. It sounds as tho one puzzle piece has gotten identified and now to locate the other pieces and get them to start taking shape. You marvel me. Your attitudes are contagious and you keep me pumped up. Sending you lots of love while all the pieces come together.

    ((((((((((((((((((((((Elaine)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Always sending you hugs and prayers and encouragement. Hope that the promise of spring in the air gives you strength for the new chapter ahead. Bloom, baby Bloom.

    Nancy moving.

    Coonie's curving.

Jayne's traveling...... maybe to see Shiny! How cool would that be?

Jane has folded laundry for all of us.

Dream has found great birthday graphics of an adult manner.

    Kathleen is on the mend.

Sharon, you & I may be the ones who are relatively put together at the moment. Scary, HUH?

Well I got new meds that are 4-times stronger than the ones I've been on. My next option is oxy-morphine! We're hoping we don't have to go that far. He is going to send my hip issues to hospitals further afield to see if any have room. I live in a somewhat retirement town, it's like God's waiting room for hip/knee/heart/kidney replacements! I just have to wait my turn and y'all know how paitient I am! Yell

I had to do it!  I swept all the floors downstairs, dusted, mopped the kitchen floor, did the dishes, wiped down the countertops and front of the refrigerator.  Now I need a nap...really.

    Hi Dustbunnies,

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my mx.

Very mixed feelings going on. Just wish that I could shake this darn tiredness...it is just making me tired.

Barbe, hoping the new drugs are giving you some relief.

Hollyann, praying for your dh cousin. I just hate this disease and what it does! Also if you want to pm an address I can send you some keychains from 'down under'.

Mum, have been thinking of you and sending you love and support for your loss.

Shiny, hope things are peachy for you.

Nancy, I used to do tai chi and just love it.  Must get back to it all.

Faith, Always thinking of you and Saint and the amazing friendship you have.

Jane , I will have to join you in doing some housework soon.

In exactly 12 days we are having a japanese exchange student for 6 days.  We are still in the middle of our renovations and the house looks like it has been bombed. But for DS to do the trip to Japan in September we need to host someone now. So when I finish work today I will  need to go on a concentrated cleaning spree which will take me 12 days to complete so it all is liveable.

    Hugs to all

    Viv

I promise to go back to no housework soon!

Mum & Al~ I am sorry to hear about your loss.

Barbe~ How much longer do you have to wear the heart monitor ??

Lucy~ Thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Good news for me I have no restrictions from my Flap surgeries.  This is the first time in 14 months have I had no lifting restrictions.  The bad news is that means it is time to clean my house....eeewweee...  and JUST in case that it wasn't bad enough our basement flooded almost 2 weeks ago and ruined a bunch of stuff :(  So as we wait for it to be put back together everything that normally resides there is on the first floor of my house.  It is beyond gross :(  Good thing is now all we are waiting for is carpet.

Hi everyone.   The old storage unit is empty and key turned in.   The new one is all pretty and nicely stacked and organized (sort of).   I can recommend 2 guys and a Truck - they did a superb job.   put their hands on the sides of things when they picked them up so as not to scratch the walls.

Yesterday the new apartment manager called to say the one I was to move into had a "catastrophe" and is no longer available.  BUT, there is an identical size in another building and it will be ready April 5.   I was so bummed out, as I have already given new address to several places for mailing purposes (you know those nasty things called  "bills") and arranged utility shut off and transfer and the movers.    I do not have to be out of here until April 8 and was intending to do some decorating - new sofa and end tables and clean this place with time to spare.

Lots of phone calls later, I collapsed in the recliner.   The movers were most gracious and said these things happen.   My phone has died from being on it so much and tomorrow I need to get a new one.   It says it is charging, but the signal bar is blank -- land line, not cell phone.   At least I have that as my back up.

I had to laugh at falling and can't get up - a while ago i tripped over shoes in the middle of the floor and went down.  Rug burns on both knees, and twisted my ankle.   Since I live alone, no one to blame or no one to help get me up again.   I used a chair to get myself up and it was not easy.   The funny part is I had lessons on how to fall after all the wrist surgeries.   I did it right, but they did not give lessons on getting up by yourself.

Time for a snack and nite nite.  Hugs, Nancy

Nancy, what is the "catastrophe"? Someone offered more rent??????? Yell Wouldn't your storage now have to be moved to the new building?

I have the heart monitor on until midday Thursday. I haven't had a "huge" incident, but a bunch of minor ones. Hope they finally catch what's going on....sigh. The bitch of it is that I am allergic to the adhesive and my chest is raw from the contacts as I have to move them each day.

Barbe, I did not dare ask what the catastrophe is/was - it rattled me too much to think what it might be..   I rented a self storage unit in a separate location so my son can come and get his things at his leisure.  It is stuff from the house and his dad's things that he wants - books and tools mostly.

That is a heck of a long time to have the monitor ((((( barbe ))))) - I had one for only 2 days and that was bad enough.   All adhesive rips layers off of my skin, so I can relate.   Here's hoping they can diagnosis the problem and get you on the right track.

Spring has sprung here and I see lots of buds on the trees.  Of course that means allergies are back, sinus drainage, coughing, etc.    Has anyone done the "shots" - I never did them but am thinking it might be worth the effort.  They predict the peak for Cherry Blossoms will be late this year.  It is as spectacular as Fall foliage colors and should be on a bucket list.

I am playing bridge today and try to exercise my brain cells.  Hugs and Blessings,

    HAPPY ST. PAT'S DAY.   Nancy

Nancy, sorry to hear of your catastrophe with the apartment....This must be Catastrophe Week!.....Both my bathrooms flooded on Monday and now I have HUGE fans all throught he house to dry everything up before the restoration can begin......The blessing is that I get a whole house restoration as in new flooring throughout the house, 2 new vanities, and new paint!.......Something i was planning for next year or the year after anyway.........

Oh no!!! (((((((((((((((((Lucy))))))))))))))))) I'm so sorry to hear about your catastrophe. I hope you were able to salvage personal items, such as pictures, etc. All the other stuff can be replaced. When Hurricane Gustav hit our area in 2008, there was tons of carpet, cabinets, furniture, etc. just sitting out in people's yards.......for weeks. Some houses just had to be gutted and rebuilt on the inside. Good luck on the remodeling though. It'll be kinda fun to have some new stuff.

Nancy!!! I'm so excited that your move is getting closer. I know you'll enjoy having everything back under one roof again. I wish you lived here, I could have given you free climate control storage for as long as you needed......LOL. Moving is exciting but it sure is alot of hard work too. Try not to wear yourself out.

Barbe--I know you'll be glad to get rid of your little machine and all the tape that goes along with it. Hopefully, the doctors can figure out what's going on and get you fixed!!

I need to do a few loads of laundry today. Then I think I'm going to be out in the back yard painting two rocking chairs. It's sunny and about 65 degrees. Beeeeutiful!!

Hope all you bunnies have a wondermous Wednesday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!

Hello all my dear dust bunnies. Spring is here also very much so. Lots of flowers a blooming. We've had splendid weather and sun for 2 days, now heading for a few days of rain.. oh well. Good for the flowers.

KMC, what rotten luck re new place, what a shame. Still, you might well find that the other new place offers you a perk you hadn't realized or that your new neighbour will be so lovely that you will be so pleased that the catastroph forced the change of plans and delays. I do hope there will be a lovely silver lining in all this inconvenience for you!! xx

Hollyann, ohh dear, what a lot of work and mess. What a shame.

Barbe, hope things are starting to be clearer for your docs re your heart, please God they "sort you out soon and get you comfortable also. Gosh, girl you so have to have a break of all this soon. xx

Faith, just pm'd you. Hugs and good travels.

Coonie daaaaling, wish I was neighbours with you and we could pain chairs in the sunshine together. I'd bring a pie and lemonade and buy my kiddos wee chairs to pain also. No doubt my DD would pain her's like a rainbow.

Here the birds are soo noisy at this time of the morning, it, 5:30 am, news is,

Upper Tier Special educational needs Tribunal stuff getting complicated, school stuff concerning me for my brill boy, i will be meeting his teacher to try and move things along on Friday, with lots of advice, resources and muffins to support. DS had a girl from class come for a playdate and dinner on Monday. They had a brilliant time: playing parachute games, trampolining, volley ballon, hide and seek etc he gave her two little kisses on her cheek, he was sooo happy she was there. Then, when her mum and brother arrived, he kissed the brother also, as he was so pleased to see yet another "friend" come to play. Bless is 9 yr old inocent lovely loving soul. Sometimes, it feels like your heart will just burst from all the love you have for your children, you know. My two kids make me feel that way sooo much. God love them and protect them. Sorry a bit mushy, been a bit of a hard week.

    xxxxxxxx

Thinking of you aal, even when am too whooped to post.

    Hi dusty buns......

    Much going on for everyone.

    Sending out group hugs.

We're still about 2 hours from my conference. DH driving. Lots of amazing trees in blossom. Sun shining like vrazy.

Spent the 2 nights w DD2s inlaws--who are so easy to love. She's a 17 year BC survivor and another of my inspirations. It was good to walk the beach w her yesterday. She is sooooo supportive of my current condition. Encouraging. She had a UNI all those years ago and never reconstructed.

    Love to all.

    Take good care of yourselves.

No housework for me today - ER trip with hives and some kind of allergic reaction.   Follow up with allergist to see if we can pin point it, but I already have a long list of allergies.   I ate nothing different except a Mc D vanilla shake from the drive thru.  They were out of Shamrock shakes, so I got vanilla and was knew I was already allergic to chocolate and strawberry.   There could have been residual in the machine but no one really knows.

A shot of epinefrine in the stomach did not hurt at all.  IV of benedryl, steroids, pepcid and saline.  Interesting info that pepcid helps anti histamines work better - according to ER doctor. Something about the acid in the stomach - too technical for me...

There I was, sitting at bingo, arm itched, Pulled up sleeve to scratch and hives all over the place.   Off I went to the ER, drove myself with my epi pen in hand in case breathing got bad, which it did not.   I was rushed in ahead of everyone else and will follow up with allergist to get more tests to see what to add to my already long list of allergies.

All's well that ends well, Nancy
