FINALLY heard back from doc today
Hi ladies,
So my gyn FINALLY called back today (she had told me she would have results Tuesday) to give me my results from the pelvic ultrasound and the CA125. So good news for now----the CA125 came back an 8 (she said abnormal is 30 or above) and the ultrasound looked good, except for 2 fibroids which she said were right on my uterus and that could certainly be causing me issues. So at least for now I can breathe a little easier about the ovarian cancer thing. She did, however, ask me if I've had a colonoscopy yet (oh joy) which I have not so she said I should probably go ahead and do that. My onc's RN had suggested it could be a bowel issue too so that will be my next avenue to go down So, for now I'm resting a LITTLE easier about all the tests I've been waiting on...........
Thank you ALL for all your support and kind words. I love this group...........

Sharon, I had been hoping that no news was good news!! How wonderful "just" to have fibroids. Happy to hear all looks good.
-
Sharon, schedule the colonoscopy and don't worry. It's really an easy test once you get past the prep.
-
I'm so glad you got great news!!! The colonoscopy isn't that bad.........after all is said and done we can all laugh about the prep togther.
-
Ha! Thanks ladies, it's good to be able to chuckle about some of this s&#t (no pun intended) from time to time. I don't know about you all but I lost my sense of modesty a LONG time ago. I've heard the prep for the procedure is lots of fun----can't wait!!!:::)))
Take care all,Sharon

I like to think i am the expert on the whole bowel "PREP"...Since I am HNPCC pos i have to have ayearly colonoscopy...I still gag just thinking of it ...but I get through it ...some tips...Popsicle bite, swig, bite, swig ....last time I did cranberry(juice) shooters with it..that got it down.
My sister who also is pos. never has a prob with the prep...I don't get it !!!She says she just gulps it down !!!
My last colconoscopy was last May , I should be having one soon but after my year i am waiting untill Oct...with all the treatment I have had there had better not be a polyp in sight !!!
