Judy,  will do.  Sounds like a plan!!!  Oh, and I am in sunny Florida...but only barely...20 miles from Georgia.  There are actually people in my neighborhood who drive to Georgia to buy gas because of the lower gas taxes!

OMG - I can't keep up with this thread! LOL!

So, I was feeling like my left foob was sitting on my chest, like I could feel my foob.  I looked at it today and noticed that my crease was lower.  It has always been higher than my right side.  Now it's about a cm lower than my right side.... uh oh...  And my scar is higher on the left than on my right.  My old nipple (when I had it) was always lower.  So, I called my PS's office today and my PS anwered!  I told him what was up and I'm going in next week.  I wear a bra - a sports bra - EVERY DAY - ALL DAY LONG!!!  How I could I possible be bottoming out (if that's the case)???  It looks ok for now but the left side is rounder on the bottom.  Now I'm all freaked out!

The bra talk is funny!  I'm on bra #2.  I bought 2 bras at Kohl's.  It hurt after wearing it out to dinner!  :(  So, I bought 2 bras at Victoria's Secret.  They didn't carry it in the 34D, like I thought it did online (oops - I read it wrong).  So, I got the 36C, which is a "sister size" as they call it at VS!  We'll see.  VS usually runs small, so I was ok with buying the 36C.  I'm wearing it now.  I'm petrified that since I've only worn sports bras I've cause my left side to slide down a bit!  Yikes!!!

Take off for a few days and you come back to an enormous amount of catching up to do.  I have decided to change PS's - I am still having my nips and tuck in April but now on the 7th.  I will also be having the pocket revision I wanted but my original PS did not want to do - he said they look more "natural" when they slip toward your armpits --- Hello.....DR.....I KNOW THEY ARE NOT REAL.... My new PS suggpested the pocket revisions before I said anything.  I have known Dr Rucker for years as he is a friend of our family - but he is in Eau Claire Wi and I am in Omaha - so I am making the trip up there and will stay at my stepmother's until I am cleared for travel back home.  I am getting excited for this surgery now - I hope to have perky foobs and a smaller tummy!!!!

Went ot Bunco in the neighborhood last night.  Thought i was all that and a bag of chips for attempting it.  I am 15 post-exchange.  I had worked all day as a teacher.  About an hour and a half into the fun night i was experiencing some sharper than normal pains on my right side. (i am right handed) Everyone agreed to roll the dice for me in order for me to stay and socialize.  That was nice to naot have to leave because of this stupid thing.  However when bunco was done i was out of there and hurting like hell.  Went home and took a valium and went to bed.  Still feel stiff but i am really protecting that side and not moving it.  hard to know what to do.  think i might go back to bed before my son's basketball tournament this afternoon.

    thoughts?

Kristenpink, you're still close to exchange at 15 days, you might have stretched your arm funny.  Take it easy, but not so easy that your shoulder freezes up!  This surgery does a number on our rotators. Gentle arm stretches will get you back. Warm showers, advil or tylenol can work.

Navy, are you feeling okay?  Did the doc ever find the elusive lymph node?

CS, twice I've had "new" not allowed to be used by all ps implants, both times I eventually had problems, so tho I know you're sold on it, if it were me, I wouldn't worry so much about having to have the latest style.

Kristinka, rainy days are good for bra shopping!  I'm heading out that way in a month, cannot wait to see my daughter:)

Bobbi, good news, sounds like the bumps are okay, hope they go away soon!

Kristinka, LOL!!! I would've had a heart attack if I'd walked in and seen that.  My computer is kept in the living room for all to see (and it is also a mac, but I' already have a super secret file).

Colorado, I can't comment on the lift but absolutely the exchange is a piece of cake compared to where you've been.

kittycat, keep us posted.  You'd think if you're wearing something it would prevent travel in any direction but maybe a sports bra squishes them into the path of least resistance.

Allie, interesting.  My implants seem to slide a bit toward my armpits when I lie down and I kind of like it because it does seem more natural (but I totally see your point).  I haven't talked to my  PS about it yet but my concern is are they more likely to permanently migrate over there???  You should be excited for perky foobs and small tummy!!  Only 3 weeks away.

Kristen, I agree with what Katey said.  Glad you got out though.

Katey, When you've had your implants replaced, how did you know they needed to be replaced?  Were you going on a time limit, did you have symptoms or did they see something in a scan of some kind?

Kristinka ~ I can relate to those pictures popping up.  Thankfully it was my daughter and not my son looking for pictures for a project on the computer ~ and there came up my pictures of my TE's after a fill !!!  My daughter screamed and closed it.  I am hoping to be brave and put them up on the picture forum after I have my exchange this week !!

Julie ~ glad to hear the exchange is a piece of cake.  I hope mine is.  I am nervous about being in pain......  the masectomy was so not FUN !

Kittycat ~ sorry to hear your foobie has dropped down.  I guess sometimes the pocketwork must give out a bit?  Or is a normal drop and the other side just has to follow suit?  All these things to look forward to after exchange.

Wishing everyone a good weekend.  I may throw a "goodbye" uncomforable expander party this weekend !  :)

    Tuesday SOFTER foobies !!!

Yeah to Tuesday and goodbye party to those TE's Justmealicia!!  Best to everyone getting ready this weekend for their squishies!! and nips!

Julie, my ps found problems during my yearly checkup.  I noticed changes, but no emergencies. Never did mri's for implant, just physical check by ps.

kittycat, hope justmealicia is right and it's just a normal drop!  You must be a cat lover? me too!!

Justmealicia:  I had my exchange surgery on Monday and for me the difference between it and the BLM w/TEs surgery was like night and day!! I haven't had to take anything stronger that ibuprofen and have had very minimal pain. I hope your surgery is painfree and gives you the results you desire and deserveSmile. Tata to your TE's and hello to your new tata's!!

BC sisters:  I posted my post exchange pics on the forum-if you get a chance, take a look and let me know what you think. Have a great weekend!

The exchange process/post op is like night & day!  I only had a single MX & at the my exchange my augmented healthy side had more discomfort than my exchange side.  The exchange side was a cinch...so to speak.  Good luck to you!

Julie--I probably misspoke about the bumps forming on the scar line. I'm sure she said "usually". That is whey she wants to see me in again six weeks. I've had more than one surgeon during this journey and I remember another BS said the same thing about the scar line. So I guess the bottom line is to be vigilant and check out anything that worries us.

I really listen to this surgeon. She tells me lots more than my PS. Yesterday she told me to step up on my stretching. She said it takes 9 to 12 months for the tissue to scar down and I'm developing an area of scarring that will limit my arm motion if I don't do something about it. And here I thought I was doing a lot of stretching??? She said to do the abduction stretch twenty times a day!!! Ooookaaaay. Like I can remember to do it that often. But I'll try.

For all of us rad girls--She also advised me not to try for a revision. I had sort of decided the same thing on my own just because I don't look that bad and I didn't want to face yet another surgery. Her reasoning is because the old radiated tissue scars so badly. She said she has seen revisions on radiated tissue end up worse than before. I wanted to pass that along for all of the rads girls out there. She said to rethink it however if CC occurs and the foob becomes painful.

    So keep stretching and stretching,

    Bobbi

Navymom, Congrats!! Gentle hugs for your new foobs!  Hope your right side is getting better.  You mentioned nausea... that actually runs in my family.  I was told it's a reaction to the anesthesia.  They give us some kind of medicine right before or right after and it helps.

cs7, that's too bad about your PS and the Gummies.  I had asked my Dr about them thinking if they were available soon I might want to wait.  She said not any time soon for them and just because they're new doesn't necessarily mean they're better.  So... besides do you want to wait, what is more important to you - having gummies or  having surgery this month?   I'd love to hear what you decide.

Kristinka, it's been rainy and windy here for 2 days, it's miserable, but reading your posts always makes me smile!  You always seem to have funny things going on in your life, kind of like Bewitched!  Thanks for sharing.

Colorado, if you PM Mykidsmom she'll add you to the list at the top of the page.  Sounds like you have a great PS!

To recent exchanges happy healing and to up-coming girls I like the way Hanna put it "Tata to TEs"!!

To those with Macs and having a problem with their photos suddenly opening up, I recommend creating another user account.  This can be your own personal, secret place.  If you need directions on how to do this, go to Help in the Menu bar (finder mode) and search "create new user".  Don't give your password to anyone.

Alicia:  OMG, you are so close to having yippee squishies!

Laura -- sorry to hear you were sick but what is this talk of "sweet death"???  Please don't even let that word be in your head!

Kristinka -- I have to say I agree with Cindy -- you have such a delightful world (based on the things you post) and you're a good sport to take the ribbing about bras... I love this image of you as Samantha in Bewitched!

Hello, Ladies--I have been mostly lurking here, along with a few PM's to Whippetmom (what a gift she is!), as I migrate over from the January Surgery thread. You all provide such a support and service to so many by sharing your experiences, good and bad. I am anxiously awaiting my exchange surgery on 4/12 and I hope to contribute as well. Thanks and good luck to all who are recovering or awaiting surgery.

Thanks to several on perspectives on gummies vs others and my stupid predicament.  I'm a uni-MX and my PS said from beginning that he thought the gummy anatomical shape would be a better match to my healthy breast than the other saline or silicone that are round...so I drank the koolaid, cuz he should know best right? I also have to admit I'm freaked out at the thought of  silicone oozing inside of me if I used the regular silicone and it were to fracture, even though the data say its not a problem, plus everyone says the salines aren't as comfortable, so the gummy seemed like the way to get the softer silicone w/o being freaked out.  I'm really small breasted (barely A, and tamoxifen seems to be shrinking me, bummer!) so I don't need salines for large size. So anyway, that was my thinking.  If I don't hear the clinic is reenrolled in the trial within a few weeks I will have the detailed talk with my PS about what else is possible.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

bobbi & julie - my friend who is a few months ahead of me on our bc journeys (already has her tatoos) recently found similar little "bumps" on the lower pole of one foob.  She had an ultrasound and everything was fine, too.  We do need to be careful, though, and fully examine the entire foob and not just the scar.  The onc who spoke to our bc group last week said that self-exam was still important for us - and I thought we didn't need it since all our breast tissue was gone.  I was wrong.

Julie and Allie - have y'all seen my pic on the forum of my sliding foob?  Nothing natural about that puppy, let me tell you.  I guess a little bit of sliding is natural since real ones do that, as long as the pockets are secure enough to keep them in place.  Just keep an eye on yours, Julie; they're still pretty new.

Welcome, sunsnow!  We love lurkers turning into EC junkies!

cs7777 - what about the Allergan 410's - would they be a possibity for you?  Interestingly, my ps does not like the gummies....said they're nearly impossible to fit into a bra and heavy.....everybody's different...

Val, Yours are what make me hesitate with my theory.  The difference is that both of mine go to the side, with about the same amount of slide on both sides.  Yours was only one.  And we both know you (nor I) could have asymmetry.  Was your PS concerned that it would permanently migrate over to the side or did he fix it purely because of the asymmetry?

Maybe I'll try to take a picture lying down like you did.  Did you take that picture yourself or should I ask my DH to take it?

CS, My PS says the same as Val's about the gummies.  When I was curious about them, that and the fact that I can't imagine they feel natural were my first thoughts but I never did any research on them so don't take what I say to heart.  I have to say the idea of no chance of oozing silicone is appealing.

Keep in mind that after the trials, if the gummies are a success, they will be available in the next few years so you can always get them then, you know you'll have to have a replacement eventually.  If they're not a success, you didn't lose out.

well, if I were like Samantha in Bewitched, you know what I would have done at Nordstrom when she told me to come back in a few months...Funny, that was my favorite show growing up.  Either I enjoy turning snippets of my life into sitcom scenarios or I miss teaching (i.e., telling stories to my students).

I'm still laughing over Deborah's story about visible fipples at the nursery, with the workman helplessly oogling her...and realizing with some mortification that I wouldn't mind workers oogling me!

Julie, I'm right there with you - always concerned about slippage.  I wonder when we can stop worrying?
