Hey ladies, everyone doing Spring cleaning? My apartment is a TOTAL mess - moving boxes everywhere. No real housework will be done for a while... I think there is some laundry to be done somewhere under the boxes. But I still have clean undies in the drawer. If all else fails, I get to do some "retail thereapy" for new ones. Hugs and Blessings, Nancy
-
I folded 4 baskets of laundry on Tuesday...does that count as spring cleaning?
-
-
I second that opinion!!
Hi Sharron,
Am off tomorrow for my abdominal ultrasound, and no wonder been feeling rough-errr. I have just started a tonsilitis, which had sent my lymph nodes dooolally, in my neck which is where I have the spine trouble, so, not so good. Amen, for codeen, ibuprophen, paracetamol, wish I had a longer list, but they will have to do. Me sooooooooooooooo lemonette.
So off to cancer hosp tomorrow. If you fancy anything from London, do pm me and will post to you daaaaaaaaling.
Nice chatting the other day!
Take care Jane and Sharron, and everyone.
As you can see it's best no news from me these days as it is much the same as it had been for a while, feel like a bit of a very broken record, "lemontte, lemonette, lemoneettteee,"
sending my best across the pond to all.

Shiny, I think you need a t shirt with " I have issues ". Not sure where I got mine, but some days, that says it all. I wore it to my first onco visit and she cracked up.
I have 6 more boxes packed up and 2 loads of laundry done. Everyone else can rest, relax, go to the mall or Wally world, since I am doing the work of a horde of women. After getting my taxes done today, I will unload another car load at the donation center (packed it up yesterday).
Time to get myself presentable for the public... Hugs, Nancy

Shiny dearest lemon of all of us lemons....... so glad that you have appointments to get yourself sorted. The sooner the better.
We're having a mid-morning thunder & lightening show right now, which has put a crimp in my walking-myself schedule and I'm sitting here pouting.
Pouting for all of us.
Golly gee whillikers we are amazing women when I think of it..... what we have gone thru and continue to go thru is a tribute to us, to our determination, our pig-headed obstinancy and our willingness to do whatever it takes to hold onto this here planet.
We are incredible and I'm gosh-darn proud of the whole lot of us.
Here's to holding one another up, when the chips are down.

Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

Well if I can add to the Lemonette status, I'm sitting here with a heart monitor on for 2 weeks! I press "record" when I get a chest pain and it records 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after I press. When I get 10 "incidents" I transmit by a land line right to the doctor's office. I had a horrid transmit yesterday that sounded SO bad (like a fax line does) and expected a call from them to say something but I guess they're waiting for another week...sigh.
See my doc on Friday for even stronger pain meds. Don't know how much more I can continue but if I stop, my whole life falls apart. So, please, add me to your prayers.
-
Gollleeeee jeepers Barbe!!! That sounds serious! Have you had heart problems in the past? I'll definitely add you to my prayers!!! Hope you don't have to work during this.
Shinygirl!!!!!!!!!!!! I just sent you a PM!!!
Hope all you bunnies are doing ok. I haven't checked in lately. Just been working alot......oh and I've started Curves. Going every morning to exercise has really made me feel better. Gotta get this old body back in some kind of shape......LOL.....praying for a miracle here:)
Big hugs to all of you!!! Hope everyone is having a wondermous day!!
-
Good for you on the Curves Coonie! Yes, I've had heart problems for years and take a lot of prescription meds for it. One of the reasons I didn't go into a lengthy reconstruction surgery was due to my heart.
-
Ohhhh Barbe....maybe just a change of medication will fix you up. Sure hope so.
About the Curves......I was talking with one of the ladies this morning.......I told her I haven't lost one single pound in the two weeks I've been going. She said, "I've been coming here for 6 years and haven't lost anything either".......LOL........... GREAT!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that the average age there is 70 years old. I feel like I'm going to the Senior Center every morning but they're really sweet ladies. I'm enjoying it alot!!
-
But Coonie, if you lose inches that's okay as muscle weighs more than fat!
-
Shiny if I'm ever in the South West I would love to do lunch. I used to have a job where I travelled up and down the country and was often in your neck of the woods. Not so much these days, but you never know. I hope all goes well with your ultrasound tomorrow, you will be in my thoughts.
Nancy it certainly sounds as though you are doing tons at the moment. I know a lot of it is getting ready for your move. How long is it now until moving day?
Barbe I'm definitely adding you to my prayers. Truth be told you bunnies are always included but I need to be more specific in your case just for now.
Coonie I'm very impressed that you go to Curves every morning and glad you feel better for it. I had to laugh at the average age being 70. So you get to feel even more youthful as well, that has to be good.
Faith sorry to hear your weather was not so good this morning. I hope you managed to get your walk in later.
I am still aiming to walk for at least 30 minutes every day, unless the weather is just too awful. It was bright and sunny but cold here today, so lovely for a brisk walk.
Hugs to all.

I was trying to decide between Curves and the Y, and DH and I have decided on the Y because they have a pool there and, for $60 a month, we can both go. We were supposed to go sign up last night, but he got something in his eye and I made him get in the shower to try to flush it out and he didn't want to get dressed again after that, so we're supposed to go on Saturday to enroll.
-
Jane I would have gone for the Y as well. I hope your DH's eye is better now.
The place we go to has a pool, well 2 pools, one inside and one outside. I love the outdoor pool when the weather warms up a little. They have been great since my diagnosis and not being able to swim or do much at times while on chemo. We agreed to suspend my membership but they gave me some guest passes, so for the times when I was allowed to swim and felt up to it I could go, but didn't have to pay out for the times when I was told no swimming because of risk of infection. I will start up my membership again in April and they said I don't need to pay until May.
-
I would love to go to an outdoor pool too! Our Y has indoor only, being in Canada....sigh. I was going to look into it as well, but want to settle other health issues first.
-
Barbe, dear Barbe, special extra prayers for you from now until you are truly well again.
I will pm you now.

Omg barbe stay away from elizabeth's thread those chest waggling men may put that heart monitor off the charts.(((HUgs)))
-
((((Barbe)))) no housework for you.
-
Hey Barbe... dont look at the Saint thread either.... the birthday cake I sent her was too funny for your poor heart to take it. I second the no housework ultimatum too.l
Faith.... sorry I was sick and missed Girl Guides and now its march break so it'll be another week and a half til I see them again..... so dont know about another card(s).
-
A quick fly by before I head to bed. (((((((((((((( barbe )))))))))))))) gentle hugs and prayers also.
You all can be proud of me, as I got into the beginners Tai Chi class at the Senior Center. It starts May 6, so I can do some walking before and recover from moving the end of this month. Prior to BC, I did a beginners class and really liked it. No stress or strain and no pains after. It should give me a jump start for the weekend, as it is on Thursdays. Nite nite, hugs and blessings, Nancy

We lost My MIL last night in her sleep. Now for the wake and funeral.Al is a basketcase but we will get through it.
-
Ah Mum, so tough!!! I know that you know that we know that it was a more peaceful death than her lingering on and on...but still! Give Al a big mother-hug from us all.

-
Mum and family - our thoughts and prayers are with you. It's never easy to loose ones we love. One step at a time, remember the good memories, and know that you WILL make it through this time with His help!
-
Dear Mum, so soory for your loss. You know she is at peace now. I hope that is a bit of a comfort whilst you go through this so difficult time, my condolences to you and your dear DH. hug.
Barbe, still praying and praying for you. Sending good pain free vibes your way. It's a wee bit far from here, so not sure how strong they are by the time they get to you but I assure you they are strong when they are sent out!!
Jayne,Sharon,Coonie and the gang, thank you for your good wishes. As far as the ultrasound showed I have a hemangioma in my liver, which might explain some of those pains in that area. Non cancerous tumour, so just monitoring it according to the technician, this was her assertions. Will wait to hear from the onc, but that is good news. Am much more concerned to get to the bottom of my respiratory/ chest issues. and Neck spine trouble will be seen too eventually, referal in the pipeline. Just, still a real lemonette, gratefull, gratefull, always, but very very keen to get to the bottom of all this, in the meantime the codeen and layering other tabs is helping some. Kids are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Wish you could all meet my chickadees.
Nancy, way to go with the TAI CHI, wowwwww!
Jayne. would love to meet you one day, so do ring if you are coming my way, and we can do lunch!
IT IS MOTHERS DAY HERE THIS SUNDAY, THEREFORE I DECLARE IT, "NO HOUSEWORK DAY" YOU CAN ALL SHARE THAT PERK WITH ME!!!
XX thanks for the vibes my fav bunnies.
hug
