Non Calcified Node in CT Scan

Options

Hello,

My mom got her CT scan results back and it said she had a 4mm non calcified node in her lung. I am very scared because she had 2 positive lymph node and her tumor was 0.8cm. Does this mean her cancer has spread? How many of u had this on ur ct scan?

Thanks

When I had a CT...4 years ago...right after diagnosis...the CT read a nodular/granuloma/issue in my lung.  The doc didn't even tell me.  I saw the results myself when getting a transfer of docs.

The next CT didn't show it.  I had chemo and rads between these two.  The original doctor was taking a wait and see attitude I think....or negligence.... not sure.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last Feb. 23 2009.  I have had a 4mm non calcified nodule in my left lung for the last 10 years.  I had ct scans on lungs three times a year for the first three years, and then once every year for the next two years.  Then they told me it was a "scar" from some old lung infection and not to worry about it as it did not change at all.  It was seen in my baseline ct that the onc ordered prior to my chemo and it still remains the same and they aren't the least bit alarmed by it.  Hope that helps.

I have a 5-6 mm non calcified nodule too, was found when staging in 2005 and is still there unchanged...nobody is worried (except me lol....but I am getting better on that)
