THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up..
Jobs come and go.. Love waxes and wanes..
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break. Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors. Careers end.
BUT........ Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how
many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away
than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself,
the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with
open arms at the valley's end.
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in
and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters,
daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties,
nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we
began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible
joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we
would need each other. Every day, we need each other still.
I am passing this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful.
Short and very sweet: There are more than twenty angels in this world.
Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds. Nine are playing.
And one is reading this at this moment. -
So right Vivvy Girl.
-
Vivvy, that was BEAUTIFUL! And so nice to hear from you!
I would come in and carry you out, you know....
-
Vivy ... awesome - that says it all. I am printing it as a constant reminder of all the wonderful women in my life. I want to treasure them forever.
-
As a Girl Guide leader I have twice the number of sisters to lean on. I have them and I have you and I have met some of you and hope to meet more at the Toronto Get Together in April, May or whatever.... not determined yet.
I have always known the value of my female friends never having had a happy childhood. But the friends I chose seem to have much more to give me than those I am supposed to be related to by blood and by law (I was adopted).
-
Hey Dream girl.
I'm trying to conjure up a whole SHOWER of cards for Saint's upcoming birthday. Do you still work with the Guides? What would you think of getting them to all sign cards?? Or all sign the same card? I'd just love for her mailbox to be overwhelmed.
If anyone is willing to send a card and needs her address, let me know thru PM.

Mil back to the hospital the ER doctor says she caught the "superbug" from her long stay in the hospital sometimes we just can't win.
-
Hello Dusty Buns.
It's great to see all who are cleaning and not.
Mum, sorry to hear about your MIL. If that doesn't beat all!!
Today I am cleaning. Friends coming for lunch and I want to get the hairballs out of the way so nobody breaks their neck tripping over them.
Gentle hugs to all.
-
Mum ... so sorry about your MIL but hospitals can be dangerous to your health. I so hope she rallies.
Faith ... sent you a PM. In our family we usually send at least two cards sand more frequently three - 2 funny and 1 serious.
Sharon ... cleaning? Has the world gone mad?
-
Oh Vivy that is beautiful and speaks so perfect to me right now!! Thank you for sharing that.
Mum - so sorry to hear about mil.
-
Hi Kathleen, Coonie and Jayne thank you for the compliments. After a BC.org meeting I was told that I need a new picture that looks like me and I was told this looks like me.
Okay today I have no choice but to clean the kitchen the smell is getting overwhelming...lol.... YUCK!!!! My drains are gone and I am feeling pretty good just tired from a cold that I picked up over the weekend. So I have 22 days until I leave for Florida so I gotta pretend to do something...lol.....
-
Jaimieh, ya gotta REST before that trip!!!!
I did enough housework this morning for all. Well except for the doggus goober on the windows. Wouldn't you know it, today is sunny!!! If only I had time, I'd clean those windows.......NOT!!!
Kathleen, I'm sorry to have broken my 'no housework' record.
Faith, my card is on it's merry way.
SPRING IS HERE!!!
-
Sharon! If you don't stop that housework, we may just have to have a private meeting amongst all the bunnies and discuss your membership
Of course, some of us could be bribed with chocolate or ice cream or chocolate AND ice cream....LOL.
Jaimieh!!! 22 days.................woohooooot. You best be getting over that cold soon. You want to be feeling your very best when you leave for Florida. You DO look great!!! So glad you're feeling better.
Mum---so sorry to hear about your MIL. Hospitals are known for those pesky bugs. Hope she's feeling better real soon.
Thinking of all of you today and hoping you're having a wondermous Tuesday.
((((((((((((((big hugs))))))))))))))))))
-
Afternoon my dear dust bunnies. Hope all is well with each of you.
Sharon, I can definitely be bribed with chocolate and/or ice cream!
I hate to admit to this but the other day, I guess I must have dozed off while laying on the sofa, I fell off of it right onto the right shoulder and leg. My right shoulder is limited just as the one the orthopedic surgeon replaced. Further, I had had severe pain on my right side knee before I fell on it and now the pain is quite acute and I even skinned that knee. I swear, falling has become one of my worst fears!!!!!!!!
And a sad note, my aunt just called to say that her brother, my uncle, had to put his golden retriever down. Teddy had large cancerous mass. He was a good dog, just like an old bear. My uncle is devastated ... he loved that dog so much. Gosh, I had illness, death and lawyers.
Much love and good wishes.
-
Not sure if it is the pain killers or the late nights, probably both, but always seem tooo toast to post at night. Had my DS's annual review of Special educational needs and it went very well, still wait and see, if LA will be true to style and still try to take back provision, but in any case the actual meeting went well. DS was asked to come in and he charmed everyone whilst making it apparent that he does have very significant communication and sensory needs, just peachy.
I've read about all your woes, mummayan's MIL, EWB's continued struggle etc..
I will forget, too whoooooped, so no list, just please know and beleive that you are a constant presence in my heart and I am thinking of you all.
Be good to yourselves.
xx Peaaaaaaaccccccccchhhhhyyyyyyy vibes on their way.

Oh gosh Kathleen. I'm so sorry to hear you fell..........I do hope the damage repairs easily. We sure don't bounce like we used to.
No housework for you Sistah!!!
Shiny, I think you are excused from housework until you are feeling well again. I pray you feel well soon. (Not that I want you to have to do housework soon, I just want you to feel good.)
Coonie, all I did today was wipe the spewled up windows!! Please don't kick me out for that.
Gentle hugs dusty buns.

Sending hugs to all, but these three bunnies are at the top of the list currently.

YIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Hallelujahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Oh happy, happy day.
Oh happy, happy, happy day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got off the phone with Saint.
She made it.
She got to go.
She got to sit with all the parents of all the kids and see her daughter in the title role of Cinderella.
Did you hear me just exhale for the first time all day???
I am soooooo happy.
The show was a huge success and our starring princess was fantastic, according to her mother's best, non-biased, judgement.
Send up the fireworks!!!!
p.s. Saint spent all of today in the hospital's out-patient clinic. I'll ask her how many of those details she wants on the world-wide-web.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Be well & stay strong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
**** And send her a birthday card!!! You still have plenty of time.
-
Brill brill brill BRILL BRILL BRILL BRILL,
I am soo pleased for her. Gosh, she so deserved to enjoy that great first night.
What a blessing!! ohhh what happy news!!
Just BRILLIANT!!
Nighty night Faith, know you'll sleep so more soundly tonight.

YAYYYYY!!! I just LOVE good news!!........Prayers work wonders.......
-
Everyone ... thanks for your concern. This time I was already lying on the sofa and somehow fell off to the floor. Had I been in bed there might have been some damage ... the darn bed is so high I usually have to get a running start start and throw myself onto the bed. I experienced pain in the "good" shoulder for a few days and got a rug burn on my knee (NOT how I would want to get a rug burn! It is getting harder and harder to stay vertical. Too bad I don't drink .. I could give it up and stay upright. But I don't, so I won't and learn to live with it!
Everybody have a wondermous weekend.
-
Faith that is really fantastic news that Saint was able to get to her DD's performance. Sorry to hear she had to go to the hospital afterwards though.
Lucy great news from your visit to the endocrinilogist too.
Kathleen I'm so sorry about your fall. I hope you are feeling better now. It's enough to drive you to drink.
I am still enjoying being back at work, the novelty hasn't worn off yet. I had a bone density scan last week, just to get a baseline measurement so we can check whether the Arimidex is causing bone loss in the future, the next 5 years I guess. Later this month I have appointments with my onc and my surgeon, just for check ups. It will also soon be a year since all this started when I found a dimple in my axilla one Friday night. A huge thank you to all my dust bunny friends for helping me to make it through these past 12 months.
Hugs to all.
-
GoodMorning everyone.
The birds are tweeting, the sun is shining, the chill in the air is non deminishing!! Happy Monday everyone.
I am, the lemonette, but determined to get more "done" today... however, before that, I will get myself a coffee, crank up the heat (the way I can only do when DH is not around..) get my diary out and plot my ambitions for the week ahead whilst sipping coffe and looking at all the tweety birds in the garden.
Jayne, so glad things are going so well. If you are ever heading to the South West on a conference or the like, PM me in advance and maybe we can do lunch!
xxxxxxxxx Take care all you lovely Dust buns!
Extra hugs for Kathleen, EWB, but a still generous dose all round to all of you.
