Okay ladies!!!  thank you for all of your prayers!!  My hubby and I just returned home from our anniversary trip to a resort just 30 minutes from home.  I was awakened at 5:30 am by the strongest earthquake I have ever been in.  7.0!   I stood straight up on the bed and yelled to wake my husband up and we laid on the floor next to the bed.  I just kept telling the Lord that I wasn't ready to go yet and I didn't want Christa hurt.  I kept telling Him that I wasn't doing chemo and fighting this awful disease just to die in a collapsed hotel building.  We get little rumbles all the time and they are short.  This time it lastest a few minutes and the doors in our hotel kept banging; we were on the 8th floor.  It felt like someone had picked the building up and was shaking it.  All I could think about was Haiti and how many people died in hotels.  Praise the Lord, it stopped and we tried Christa on the cell.  Couldn't get through at first, but kept trying.  She was fine and walked around the house to assess the damage.  The epicenter was about 50 miles off the coast on the Pacific side.  That is where our home is.  My daughter was home alone.  I did have some things that fell off of shelves, but nothing serious. They did have us under a tsunami warning, but we are fine.  Also, we live way up on a bluff so nothing to worry about.

Meece, Kadena is also up above where any tsunami could reach them!  Thank you for asking everyone to pray!

    Grace

Thank you for the update, Grace.  I was concerned because I don't know if Matt is working nights, or at all as he leaves tomorrow.  His shop is at the West end of the runways.  All sorts of things go through a mother's head.  I am so glad you are safe!  God is good.

So good hearing from you Grace.

Thank God you are safe. I always say the same thing, Didnt survive chemo, radiation to die from a fallen tree.

Hugs to you and your family.

I don't know how to post pics here, but I would like to post the lyrics to this Third Day song:  The Mountain of God.  It got me through placing 2 adult sons through alcohol and drug rehab and I am blessed to say they are doing great and serving God today.

    "Mountain Of God"

Thought that I was all alone
    Broken and afraid
But You were there with me
Yes, You were there with me

    And I didn't even know
That I had lost my way
But You were there with me
Yes, You were there with me

'Til You opened up my eyes
    I never knew
That I couldn't ever make it
    Without You

    Even though the journey's long
And I know the road is hard
Well, the One who's gone before me
He will help me carry on
After all that I've been through
    Now I realize the truth
That I must go through the valley
To stand upon the mountain of God

As I travel on the road
That You have lead me down
    You are here with me
Yes, You are here with me
I have need for nothing more
Oh, now that I have found
That You are here with me
Yes, You are here with me

I confess from time to time
    I lose my way
    But You are always there
    To bring me back again

Sometimes I think of where it is I've come from
And the things I've left behind
But of all I've had, what I possessed
    Nothing can quite compare
With what's in front of me
With what's in front of me

In the past 5 hours we have posted over a page on this thread.  No pictures, just prayer and praise!  Amazing.  I have taken the past 1/2 hour to listen to the songs that have been posted and it is renewing, as is the friendships which we have forged here.

Meece - sleep well.  Kadena is fine.  All of our people are good!  God is good all the time.

    View at breakfast

What A Day That Will Be

    There is coming a day,
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
    All is peace forever more,
    On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
    The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

    There'll be no sorrow there,
    No more burdens to bear,
    No more sickness, no pain,
    No more parting over there;
    And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

This song has such a special meaning to me since our son passed away almost 7 years ago.  No more sorrow or sickness!  PEACE forevermore!!

    I am at ease.

((((((Grace)))))), They say time heals all wounds, but I know that you never get over the loss of a child.  I have been listening to a series about children and babies in heaven.  I know your son was well beyond that age, but it gives me solace when I think of the reunions in heaven one day.

meece..I'm the same place you were yesterday. Hawaiian Islands will be under tsunami warning starting at 6Am their local time.

They are not answering their phone. They are about 15 minutes away from Waikiki beach.

Please my sisters say a prayer for them and for me.

I just spoke to my daughter, the sirens walked them up.

She said you know more about it than we do.

Evacuation is taking place they are 2 miles north of Waikiki Beach but they are considered high grounds. they are opening centers for all the tourists at the coastal areas.

My sisters I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers.

    JO, they live in Hawaii.

JO, would I be beraking the 10th commandment if I said I was jealous of your ironing task today?  That sounds relaxing.  I know, call me crazy.

Web thief stole my picture. Thank God I have witnesses to prove it.

It was something similar without the snow.
