B Complex side effects?

Options

My doctor suggested I start taking a B complex and glutamine for the neuropathy in my feet. I haven't found glutamine yet, but started taking a B complex yesterday. Ever since then my pee is lemon-lime looking, and my gums bleed when I brush my teeth. I haven't had bleeding gums in years. Is this likely to be the B complex? Is it something I should worry about?

Thanks!! :)

What chemo are you on? I know some chemos thin out your mucous membranes. (It does me) I would call my dentist or onc just to be sure.

Hi Cafelovr, I finished chemo in July, so that shouldn't be it. But thanks for the idea! :)

I noticed the same thing too with the color of my urine after I started taking a B-complex vitamin. I automatically assumed the vitamin was the culprit (I am hoping it is). It doesn't last all day - just a few hours after I take it. The vitamin is orangish-yellow in color and not sure if that has something to do with it. As far as bleeding gums - I don't know about that one. I am curious to see other answers here.

The B complex is the reason your urine is that color. I get that also. I don't get that same effect when I take vitamin B-12 alone, so, I'm assuming the color is from one of the other B vitamins. I didn't have bleeding gums. You might want to try an antiinflammatory such as ibuprofen for the gums. Something totally unrealted;have you ever noticed how horrible your urine smells after eating asparagus? I've read that people have used asparagus in their pets food to figure out which one is peeing where their not suppose to LOL
