Hollyann, hope you are ok this Tuesday a.m following your visit to docs yesterday. Sending you mega hugs for the stress you've been under. Hope you have a lovely easy day today.

Seems like the threads been a wee bit quiet lately what with Arnie having the kiddywinks around and Coonie working lots of hours but being as sweet as pie each time we see her and Nancy prepping for the big move, and Jayne out on her College stall at the town market, and ms Mccraw managing some troublesome pains, and EWB plugging along with all her extra stresses and Barbe out there working silly far silly hours and then on the boards giving out good advice and telling it like it is, and Mummayan taking the most brills pics and hopefully finding her MIL better each day, then there's Faith, dancing up a storm ,championing Saint's fan base effort, walking enough to put me to shame and now starting her proper physio, and sharron, busy getting younger and younger and younger!! then there are those currently elusive dustbuns whom we've not seen for a while, probably waxing their Oak floors or something, better still, hopefully they are on holiday. xxxx

Good Tuesday to ALL. May it be a blessed day for you all my friends.

    happy tuesday

Love these boots!  I hope today everyone is feeling better.  It is extremely overcast here in Virginia.  Usually by this hour sun is streaming in through the windows.

Shiny ... the boards have been quiet for a while.  I think some of the gals are taking a little break but hopefully they will return soon.  How are your DD and DS?

Arnie ... I pray all goes well with you.  I am always so glad to see one of  your posts!  BTW, how do you tell which each is which with that dog.  I imagine that dog needs DAILY brushing.

    Coonie ... Same for you!

Dream ... so glad you are out of the hospital.  Since you just had rads, isn't one of the SEs tiredness.  You just take it easy, treat yourself extravagantly, and rest.

Lucy ... hugs for clear tests.

Jayne ... I know what  you mean about the poor little flowers.  One year we had an unusually warm week in February.  I saw the crocus start to come and just wanted to shout - go back, its just a trick of Mother Nature.

Faith ... Poor DD - and with children to tend to!  She's the one with Wonder Boy and the twins, yes?

Sharon ... good for you - and I love the doggie clown!  Since I am 63 I just reverse the numbers for my age!

Wishing each of you a ton of blessings.  Love ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi dust bunnies

Elaine I hope it starts to sux less very soon. I will continue to think good thoughts for you.

Kathleen wow those are some boots! I love that you found just the right pic for a happy Tuesday.

Coonie don't work too hard, hang in there until you get your time off next week.

Lucy I hope all is well with you and tests are clear.

Oh I meant to say that I have seen TexasRose on Facebook. She is enjoying the snow they have there at the moment.

We have snow here too, great big flakes are falling. I have just been for a walk in it. I am trying to do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day; it makes me feel good and is supposed to reduce my risk of recurrence. I am working inside again this week. The mobile unit was fun for a short time, but it is packed away now until the next time. Probably just as well with all this snow, we are having the coldest winter for 30 years.

Hugs to all. Anyone I haven't mentioned by name you are all in my thoughts too. xoxoxoxo

    Hi Ladies,

Haven't been on for a while. Just so much going on.My brother passed away on Feb. 11 and I have had a hard time with it. But yesterday I finally came out of the fog after a wonderful friend of my brothers told me this and wanted to share it with you all.

Sam was diagnosed with throat cancer 3 1/2 years ago. At the time it was so far advanced that the Dr. said he would not make it through the  night and they could do nothing to help him at our local hospital. We immediately started looking for a hospital that would take him and finally John Sealy Hospital in Galveston Tx agreed to have their team except him.Upon arrival Sam was taken directly to surgery and breathing tubes and feeding tubes were inserted. The next weeks he went through Chemo and assorted surgeries and after 6 months he was finally released from the hospital able to return to his old activities.

Sam was always a rough but lovable person but he had a bit of a shady past.  We were all shocked when he asked if he could go to Church with us.Someone even joked that the church might fall down if he went inside. But he did go and became very involved in all of the activities there. This was a man who knew every curse word in the book and used them freely among other things. He had been given a clean bill of health was cancer free and still he continued to go to church. This man who had never made fun of my faith but said it was not for him was saved and asked to be Baptised on Easter Sunday 2008.

In November of 2009 after a routine checkup Sam was once again diagnosed with cancer and it had spread throughout his body. He continued to go to church until he was no longer able and near the end he asked to see the Minister who had Baptised him.Pastor Bob drove 16 hours from Alabama to Texas to be with him and hold his hand and pray. Sam passed a short time later.

I have been angry and sad and all mixed up inside but yesterday Sam's friend put things into perspective for me. He said maybe Sam was supposed to die 3 1/2 years ago but God gave him more time to be with us to except him and to help other people.

I am finally at peace. I will miss him always. He was my big brother my friend sometimes my father and sometimes a pain in the butt.Well lots of times a pain in the butt.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((bkc)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Sam is flying free with other angel buddies, kicking up clouds and throwing the occasional lightening bolt -- just for fun.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us the story of your brother and of his coming to peace. What a glorious gift from the minister -- to have driven that distance to support Sam in his final moments. People are capable of such goodness.

Speaking of goodness. I happen to know that our very own Shiny should be put in the hall of fame for kindness. Saint called me last night after dinner. We usually talk during the day, but she'd been busy getting an infusion of fluids in the morning.

So anyhow, we were just visiting, when I could hear her daughter, Cinderella and husband arrive home for the evening. Then all of a sudden there was all sort of whooping, and squeeling and gushing in the background.

It turns out that our very own Shiny had made a European care package for Cinderella -- to encourage her toward her big trip to Scotland this summer. With every squeal Saint would report: "a passport holder" another squeal: "chocolates" another squeal: a book, followed by another squeal and another squeal and another.

Saint was sooooooooooo happy to hear her Cinderella sooooooooooo happy.

    Brilliant, peachie brilliance.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

We can make a difference in each other's lives.

Shiny, I'm thinking of you today and hope that your questions are being answered and that their is brill insight in how to move you forward toward your most brill-self.

Big hugs to all of our dusty buns this morning.

Coonie ... morning sweetheart.  Hope your day doesn't wear you out too much.  I finally learned one thing about work.  In five years no one will care!  So don't kill yourself.

Elaine ... I pray the suckage goes away.  In the meantime, until it does, I'll say prays for you.

Jayne ... I just went back to get another look at those boots ... I love them; however, with those heels I would probably just fall!

Jayne ... thanks for the update on MaryRose.

BKC ... add my thanks for sharing the story of your beloved brother, Sam.  Sometimes our faith is standing on the edge of a precipice and then a story like Sam's come along and miraculously its back again.  By your sharing that story, Sam can touch so many people's lives.  My condolences on the loss of a  very special brother ((((((HUGS)))))))).

Shiny ... what a wonderful and loving gesture!  You are so wonderful.  With everything on your plate you took the time to really make someone else's day.

Faith ... you are so right when you say we can help each other.  Sometimes I am feeling abandoned and I get on BCO and I feel like part of a team again.

Lucy ... that is such wonderful news.  I am joining Coonie in the happy dance!

Coonie again ... I LOVE that picture ... there is sheer joy on her face.

Barbe ... I love how you cut to the chase.

It takes so little to make us happy I frequently wonder why more people aren't doing it!

Lucy...... so glad for your good news!!!

Barbe. You made Saint laugh truly out loud this morning with your comment to the poop-god status of your familiarity. It's so terrific to hear her laugh. Today, you get the credit.

I haven't been on in a while but whoo Lucy for b-9 results we love them.  I have been making you ladies proud for the past 4 weeks and I have been doing nothing besides healing and a little cooking (that I wanted to do :) ).  I had reconstruction surgery at the end of January and I have been chilling since.  I am looking forward to getting my drains out BUT I am not looking forward to cleaning up the mess that is now called my house.  Luckily I will have my drains out in 9 days no matter what.....Then the clean a thon can start... :(  I am going to look at it I clean for less than 3 weeks and then I leave for a little vacation again. :)  I just need to find some clothes that are going to fit my new J-Lo....

Jaimieh congrats on your reconstruction surgery. Don't overdo it on the cleaning though when your drains are out, save your energy for the vacation instead. By the way you look lovely in your new profile pic, so happy and smiling and so much hair!

Daaaalings, please forgive me. Am just a little extra whooped the last few days, and well, just a wee too whooped to write a decent and coherent "report" to my fav bunnies on here. I have had a wee read each night, to check up on your all, my daaaaling loveys.

I just don't trust myself to not miss some terribly pertient posts, as my brain is mush at the mo. I just need a couple of totally lazy days, in bed...ahhhhhhh, sounds good. My onc appointment generated more referals to different types of non BC specialists, Lung for the breathing issues, and orthopeadic (sp??) for the spine thingy. And my liver something or others was somewhat elevated and get issues with that area, so going back to get an ultrasound to "rule things" out, not concerned just being diligant and getting on with sorting out my "Queen lemonette" status.

I am one blessed Cookie, feel it every day, and you lovely ladies are a real part of that.

Lucy, so glad you are a B9 girl and starting to feel a bit better also emotionally.

BKC, So sorry for your loss. You know your dear brother is at peace with God looking after him now.

KMC You just have to get you "those boots"!! XX Splurge daaaling, even if you can't walk in them, you can just sit and look "perdy" in them.

Barbe, often think of you, sometimes I wish I knew your tel number at work so I could suprise you with a call when you are just getting in after your long commute. hug girl.

Elaine, praying your terribly tuff patch is soon a memory.((hug))

Coonie, Faith,Arnie, my loveys, and everyone, sending you peachy vibes.

Be extra good to yourselves today, just because, just try to spoil yourselves a wee bit, and if anyone asks why you just tell them Shiny told you it was a non negotiable must today, and you don't want to make Shiny cross!

    xx Shiny

OH yeah Sharon!!! Shiny's right!!! Please take it back!! For the sake of doggus and DH!!! You just can't do that to the people/critters you love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  .............. CAN you??Wink

Shinygirl!! Please keep me updated on your lemonette status!! I'm sure everything is A-ok with you, but you're doing the right thing in getting it all checked out..........for your peace of mind. If our minds aren't at peace, it just messes EVERYTHING up!! Give kiddos a hug for me!!

Well ladies I am back from TBay.My mother's Alzeimers has not gotten any worse she still knows who everyone is and my father seems to be okay taking care of her at home. But she really needs to stay in her home enviorment to be confortable I made the mistake of trying to take them out for a nice dinner and she was uncomfortable all night.Spent the whole time cooking and stocking his pantry and fridge. Now that I am better must fly in to see them more often.

My MIL alsogot out of the hospital this week so I must pay her a visit as well. You know what ladies this may sound awful but i don't want to live to my 80's like my parents.I guess we probably won't have that problem anyway.Sorry Depressing thoughts (change of topic)

OMG ... I was typing a long and quite clever ... he he ...  post to all of you when my computer rudely and quite unexpectedly threw me off the internet!  Of course I lost the post... grhhhhhhhhhh!

Faith ... thanks for the  nice words.  Now I feel all warm and fuzzy!  I am so glad Saint got such a kick out of Barbe's post.  Let's face it, Barbe is funny!

Shiny ... I just love your posts ... your expressions make me feel like I am in merry old England.  Good for  you for staying on top of your health issues.  Usually doctors miss things because we are women, "getting older" or a complainer or in my case all three.  I would love those boots but I am afraid I could wear them if  were sitting down.

Jaimieh ... I don't believe that we have met so "hi" I am Kathleen.  Good to meet you.   And just so you know -- housework is way overrated!

Coonie ... we had friends from Charlottesville, VA come up and spend the night with use ... husband, wife and child.  We had not seen them in quite a while so it was so good to spend time with them.  The husband fixed our powder room toilet (running upstairs to get to a working toilet is a pain in you know where.  The 11 year old daughter is very much a craftswoman in the making so she and I can work on craft projects forever.  It is also marvelous to have a small person to fetch for you.  The card you posted is lovely.  Thank you.

Mum ... getting old isn't so bad as long as you can get around and take care of yourself.  We can all go to the "old ladies" home and spend our days sitting in our rockers on the front porch, chatting away, play cards, work on craft projects and enjoy high tea (or some other libation).

Now for all you who somehow think that housework is something mandatory:  In five years from now does anyone even care that you kept your home tidy.  If they are friends they won't care and if not friends, who cares what they think?

I once met a woman who had six children and cared for her father who had Alzheimers.  She said when her children grew up they would have lovely memories of their mother because no kid remembers that although they didn't see much of Mom the house was sparkling.  Spending time with loved ones, playing with children (your children, your grandchildren, any child), crafting, enjoying a sunrise or sunset --- are all waaaaaaaaaay more important than housework.

To all the dust bunnies ... hugs and well wishes.

Kathleen. You are indeed our spokes-person of cheer today.

I think we all just LOVE our Shiny and her taking us across the pond to peek in on her amazing life with those gorgous children of hers.

I am now up to taking my two walks per morning, at am now nearing the 30 minute mark for each. When I get home I immediately crawl into my recliner and visit here..... but that is indeed genuine progress, so I am grateful.

Hoping that everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Mum, glad that you were able to 'contribute' for your parents. Taking good care of ourselves now can contribute to our having better days ahead. At least that's my theory!!! LOL.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Thinking of everyone of our dust-bunnies, past & present.
