Skip the video, this is an interview with Charles Perou, the 2009 recipient of the "AACR Outstanding Investigator Award for Breast Cancer Research, funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure® "

He talks about some exciting things coming up with regard to triple negative breast cancer research!

It's frustrating to me that he considers one of the difficulties to be the lack of tissue samples??!  Aaack - I'd donate mine in a heartbeat!

Anyway, very interesting and promising research!

So great to hear TN is getting attention.  I am not TN, but I am always excited when I hear about new therapies for this beast.  Thanks for the info.  Maryiz

Yay!  Hey TN'S...I think we all need to take a deep breath and not freak so much....We have to remember 1)..."They" found out about the pr and er positive thing...a few years ago..."they" didn't know what caused those type of tumors either...now..."they" are moving on to find out what causes NOT THE PR-ER-POSITIVE thing....it's a progressive type of thing...you guys know "they" are working on us..we are next in line...it's so cool and so good....I have plenty to ask the onc about when I see him in a couple of weeks..just think...a few years ago...breast cancer tumors were thought to be the same and now 'they" are discovering they are not....

Just be sure you have the most aggressive treatment you can..and keep on bugging your oncs for trials and news about TN'S.....

I really dont care for pink as much as I used to but thank God...that there is in the interest and the monies going into research...for us....hang in there ladies...it's coming...
