Vegas In October....

Hi Chatters....Well I can finally come to Vegas....We are booking a flite end Sept beginning October, I will post as soon as its booked....I know alot of you from bc chat are going to try and make it, and Mary (marlegal) will be organising where/when.....Im just so excited that after 6yrs Im finally going to meet some of you....We will be staying at Paul`s brothers home in Vegas for a few weeks, then going to New York for a few days, so please post and let us know if your free.....

    Hi there...theres a good size group of us coming to Vegas Oct 1, 2, 3.  It will be out 2nd time meeting up.  Everyone is welcome and it would be great if you could join us.  The topic discussion is TaTas Reunion or to that affect LOL I dont have the best memory but its in this section, Get Together.

    Teresa, we'll see if that pans out, but if not, I would love to at least have one night where the two groups could meet up.  I've gone to several get-togethers over the last 5 yrs and they've been among my best times ever ... honestly.  Linda, as soon as I know the exact dates you're going to be here I'll start scouting hotels etc.  Soooo looking forward to meeting my friend from across the pond :)

    Marl- Mr. flash and I will be there.  Don't worry about space for us.  We'll probably do our own hotel thing.  Let me know dates as soon as you know.  It would be fun to meet up with the boards TA TA group.  Hmm chatters and board at the same time.  Will Vegas survive???????????

    Oh how awesome if we could all meet up!  That would just be great.  We are a bunch of wild women...Vegas doesn't stand a chance.  We havent found out where we are staying yet but I will post on here when I find out.

    Flash....so happy you will be there, cant wait to meet up....your so right, chatters and board together in Vegas.....WOW!!!

    Teresa....must be something to do with bc as us chatters are a wild bunch too....lol look out Vegas here we come!!!

    Yes Teresa .... Most of us go back over 5yrs....I will be 6yr survivor on Saturday, and the chat room was a life saver for me...I have been lucky enough to meet up with some of the guys from chat but none from USA, so this will be my holiday of a lifetime.....Sadly we have lost so many Sisters over the past couple years and this made me even more determined to get to Vegas this year.

    I knew about the chat rooms for a couple years before I found out about the boards!  I'll hit my 5 yr mark in August.  I've been fortunate to meet dozens of chatters - 25+ in Vegas in 2008 and a similar group in Tampa, FL in November 2009.  Some overlaps, but several in Tampa I hadn't met in Vegas.  I travelled to both these sites alone, which is not something I've done in the past before BC !  I can  honestly say that each trip was one of the best times/vacations I ever had.  Really looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, and meeting some new ones, in the fall.

    Mel....how great to see you on here. I lost your e mail and didnt think i would hear from you since you went back to barbados....so Im over the moon you checked the boards....how are you girl? and how is little one, bet his not so little now....I still have your photo`s on my unit from our holiday together and often think of you......I need all the gossip from you so please e mail me at: linda_uk.blue@yahoo.co.uk.( I also lost my msn addys....when I changed computers)

    Linda, I got all excited when I saw you had posted here ... was hoping maybe a date had been set.  I take it you and Paul haven't made a final decision about when you're travelling yet, huh?  Not that I'm impatient, it's all those other sisters in the chat room who are wondering ... not me ... I'm calm, cool and collected :)

    Hi Mary, We still intend to come end sept or beginning of oct, but still not booked flite...im getting very impatient myself  as paul says he is `sorting out his visa` and he appears to be taking his time doing it!!!???  I know nothing about getting a visa to visit states, but it cant be that difficult, can it? but dont worry matey cos i have my own money now, so i will definatly be there. I will leave it a couple of weeks to see if he sorts it all out, if not i intend to go to travel agents and enquire about flites myself....only problem is if i come alone i wont be staying at his brothers house so i will need name etc., of hotel you will be staying at so i can book a room....im also cool, calm and collected....not! lol.....I will keep you informed....x

    He has an appointment in London for Visa at the end of April.....so hopefully we can book beginning of May x

    With the new health care reform passing, I may not be able to attend.  The company self insures and has already started meetings to decide how much more must be passed on to the workers to cover the immediate mandates.  we also know we will be one of the group taxed for that "high value" coverage.  (gee, you think I like paying for the coverage????)  So either way, it's looking dim for me to go to vegas even if I use the ailine miles to get there.

    gracie, what if you doubled up on a room with someone?  flights can be had for pretty low ... don't throw out the idea yet - a very few bucks a week in a separate envelope can add up.  i'd miss you muchly

    Gang, I'm looking for a volunteer to take over scheduling of this ... we have our daughter's wedding coming up in late May and I'm getting over my head with things to do.  I think this needs to be nailed down soon as far as when we're going and exactly who can join us.  I've heard from a few other on chat that this year might not be a travel year for them.  I'll come back here with updates or to look for updates.  Thanks.

    can't be in charge of organizing the trip cuz it looks like we'll be moving soon (hopefully) and both of us having new jobs.  would love to get together in vegas and meet everyone if it really pans out and i can get off from the new job.  too much up in the air to commit right now but looks possible for me for once!

    Mary.....so sorry I put the organising on you, I didnt mean to overload you.....I just got carried away with the excitment of actually being able to get to the States this year. It hasnt helped I know not having an exact date yet, which wont be possible until we book the flite end of April....

    Thanks for trying to organise......I will just post when flites booked and exact date we will be in Vegas....still looking at week beginning 1st - 5th October.....We will be there come wot may, so hopefully I can meet up with a couple of you from chat, but I understand if this year is not a travel year for some....

    Linda, I was excited at the prospect of getting this all together - when it was in the abstract!!  No need to apologize, it was the natural assumption at the time.  I still hope things work out - sometimes the best trips are those last minute ones :)   I'll stay tuned, and you stay in touch.

    If anyone intends to go to Vegas September 30th til October 4th can you let me know asap please.....I will book hotel that you intend to stay in as Paul is not coming with me now, he has to work, therefore I will be travelling alone so I dont want to book if no-one will be there lol......hope to hear soon....thanks x  I have been in chat a few times but always empty so I dont know who intends to be in Vegas x will keep trying chat room...

    Thanks Flash, but I now hear Terryo is arranging another get together at a later date in October and its not in Vegas.....so I have decided to give Vegas a miss.....Im terribly disapointed, but it obviously wasnt meant to be...thanks again...hugs x
